The Leftlane crew will be uploading live, breaking updates to our Facebook page from the Detroit’s Cobo Hall next week during media days at the North American International Auto Show.
Make sure you’re our fan on Facebook so you can be a part of the action even if you’re not in the Motor City.
We’re expecting to see some major international debuts in Detroit, ranging from thinly-disguised concept cars like the North American-market Audi Q3 to the new face of Lincoln shown on its MKZ Concept car.
Some of the biggest news will come from Acura, which plans to unveil three new cars in Detroit: A new sub-TSX compact called the ILX, a new RDX crossover and, most importantly for enthusiasts, a second-generation NSX sports car.
But that’s not to say that the Big 3 don’t have a few tricks up their own sleeves. Chrysler will take the wraps off of its next Viper, a long-awaited halo car that will usher in a new era for its SRT brand, while the 40 mpg combined (using CAFE rules, which aren’t the same as EPA sticker figures…) Dodge Dart could finally make Chrysler competitive in the small car class.
Ford, meanwhile, will unveil its new midsize Fusion sedan and a host of eco-friendly models, while General Motors promises big launches like a new small Buick crossover called Encore, a compact rear-drive Cadillac called ATS and several Chevrolets.
But we always run into more than just cars in Detroit, so we’ll provide you with exclusive, live coverage of anything that’s happening in the Motor City.
