The cold winter makes them drinks excessively and I think we would too if we lived their. Many of these Russian women man they could me warm all winter long. This Is what I dont get. Ford wont send Euro Fords to the U.S. but they will send them to Mexico. Huh???? Helloooooo…..?? If they made it that far why cant they just head a little more north. Everyone/everything else does. Did you know that there 2009 Ford Focus is better then ours. The Ranger is better looking the ours too and come in a four door. They also have this SUV called EcoSport (very nice) and lastly they have the bigger/better Transit and we get the smaller crappier one. I wish I was mexican Ooooh! wait I am.

That is the way cars and when your dealing behind the Iron Curtain autonut. You should be happy Ford is doing something right and I think the point has been belabored enough we all know Ford has made crap here. Mulally said he intends to change that by say 2010 /2011 so you have a couple of years wait. But things do get better by 2009 before we get there. And I’m anxious to see if Ford survives it. But the lesson to Ford should be if we want to survive never produce half ass products ever again or marketing skeems. You might be able to have one car in your line up that tugs at the old heart strings and be pure marketing glamour like the Ford Mustang with its Iconic look from the 60’s but you can’t just mismosh and slap together anything and put 4 wheels on it and say to the GENERAL Public here you go. Like it or else!

That is a sure fire way of putting yourself out of business if you do!

Good news, let drunks produce ****ty Fords for each other and hopefully kill each other.
Ford has tendency get involved with oppressive regimes. Ford build the first Soviet auto factory and left 300 American workers rot in Russia. I’ve met in 70’s old people coming out of Russia: 300 American citizens left by Ford after competing car factory.

I know this is off the subject, but since we’re talking about cars Ford builds that aren’t here, why haven’t they made a Mach 1 version of the NEW mustang with a shaker hood like they did on the body a few years ago?

Hemi, they could and they probably would, but since they don’t even offer the euro-Focus or the Mondeo here they don’t build them here, and as such they don’t manufacture the parts here to send there. Those vehicles to my knowledge share virtually no component parts with US Fords, so the last thing they are going to do is set up manufacturing here just to ship them all the way around the world.

I wouldn’t boycott Ford for investing in Russia; I’d boycott Ford for only offering the USA the crappiest cars in their global line-up from an engineering and performance standpoint.

Have you ever seen a Japanese boycot Toyota or Honda because they are increasing business in the US? That’s not job outsourcing my friends, that investing in a different market, just like all the imports are doing here in the US. Non eof those cars are been manufactured there for the Us market.
