		<description>The iron block 5.4 and supercharger is a heavy combination. The regular Mustang GT is more balanced. A low mile comparison between a 400hp Corvette and the GT500 might be close now but I&#039;ll bet after the break in period the GT500 would beat it handily in the quarter mile. The performance potential of the GT500&#039;s engine is incredible. The GT500 does need a suspension kit for true racing such as is on the Hertz GT350. The 6.2 Hurricane V8 is on the way so keep talkin smack GM boys. My 06 Mustang GT with bolt-ons runs just under 13 second 1/4 mile times. I get people who want to see what my car&#039;s got and I haven&#039;t been pulled on yet. I&#039;m sure I will but I will be very impressed when it happens. Everyone who rides with me is severely impressed. Try one before talking smack.</description>

I dont even like mustangs but to those of you who said mustangs is no muscle car. Obviously you havent been to an actual race track because 80% of the cars are stangs. I have a friend who has a Procharged Mach 1 and there is nothing or anyone who will go up against his car. Its a stock looking car that runs 10.5&#039;s@125MPH and is daily driven. Let me see an Evo or anything like that on the street. This is 2fast 2 furious people.</description>

		<description>liquify:  Have you driven an Evo yourself?  Trust me, an Evo is a far better car in every respect.  The only thing this Shelby has going for it is its history.  Old men love it because they can relive the glory days.  Live axle?  Are they JOKING?  As my friend g-man points out, that&#039;s like horse-drawn carriage technology!

The car may be cheap, but they&#039;ve obviously cut several corners.  I can&#039;t believe this car costs any more than $15,000 to build.  They&#039;ve barely spent anything on R&amp;D - the thing is just a Mustang in drag!

Let me re-iterate - this car is for show.  Plain and simple.  This car is NOTHING compared to the orginal Shelby Cobra that won Le Mans and beat Ferrari.  All it shares is the name.  This is a money spinner - they are playing on American masculine desires, primarily targeted at the older generation who can afford these cars and miss their muscle car days.  It&#039;s loud, it&#039;s raw, it has a lot of straight-line power (but still not as quick as more efficient cars), and has the Shelby name.</description>

I mean what did they do leave the V6 mustang front springs in that car instead of making new ones for the extra couple of hundred pounds that motor weighs.</description>

But personally, I am waiting to see some of the back-room conflicts (contrasting viewpoints, if you will) regarding the rest of the Ford line.  Show me the internal round-table arguments about the direction of the Focus, Five Hundred, etc...  Let me know that they GET IT, and not just with the Mustang.</description>

Ford though really needs to concentrate and show us what BOLD MOVES they have for the common everyday car, because the current Focus is OLD and there are no B-Class Cars (Scion xB type vehicles) that I think could make Ford some much needed money if done right.
