The unions during WWII were trying to strike and shut down production while our grandparents were out in the battlefields.

if it wasn’t for foriegn competition, the big 3 will be in a much grave condition. there are lots of cars the big 3 doesn’t have compared to the comp.

To be fair, American cars HAVE come a long way in the last five years. But in my opinion, Japanese cars have been clearly superior to American cars for a long time, and it frustrates ME that it has taken Detroit SOOO long to recognize that fact and finally do something about it.

And I get your point about losing American jobs to foreign car builders, but to claim that imported cars are junk just because you resent the loss of jobs, I ridiculous. If they were, the Big 3 wouldn’t be in the jam they’re in now.

GM IS getting rid of it’s rental cars. At least all new cars are kept away from rental fleets, GM gives fleets **** like the “Malibu Classic” to fleets which is basically an older version Malibu
