Well as of now I would recommend a used Stratus or Sebring, until the new Sebring comes out or the person can hold off and get the new Dodge Avenger with it comes out. I know that may be a way off as of now but it will be worth the wait. Both cars the Sebring and Avenger do have options of differant engines. As, for me I can’t wait to see the new Avenger, it’ll be the mid-size that will bring in customers. As, I said before, they will be worth the wait.

While I do agree Toyota quality beats US and European brands everytime, I’m not sure their image has gotten too hyped even overseas where inferior models to Hondas are still selling quite well. Just compare the Vios with the facelifted City.

First, Toyota will not be joining forces with anyone any time soon. Second, the numbers speak for themselves. More and more consumers are switching from Ford and Chevy everyday to Toyota. I leased a Highlander Hybrid yesterday to a lady who was trading in a 2003 Avalanche. Third, Toyota beat Ford with an entire product line of 9 cars (including 2 hybrids), 6 SUV’s, 2 trucks, and a minivan! You compare that list of vehicles with comparable Chevy numbers and see how the math works out! Fourth, Toyota actually has reasonable pricing on their vehicles, low rebates, reasonable incentivized rates, and outstanding lease residuals. Tell me how that’s bad business! Ford, Chevy, and Chrysler have killed themselves by overpricing their vehicles, offering HUGE incentives (which destroys trade-in values), and have union costs and health care costs that are bankrupting them. Toyota/Lexus/Scion are selling well worldwide, and Toyota’s net worth is roughly 10 TIMES that of GM. Plus, read J.D. Powers, Automotive Lease Guide, Intellichoice, or Consumer Reports sometime.

Toyota’s have got to be the dumbest cars on the road, none of their cars have any style at all, and of course there are a few exeptions to the rule here and there, how ever I would recommend a good DCX product to the people who are lost and are considering a Toyota or maybe even a Honda.

Acute Observation,

In Colfax, WA (an extremely conservative and republican town) the city police own two Subarus instead of crappy Fords or Chevy’s. Of course, that means they make an ungodly number of traffic stops, because no one is expecting the Subaru on the side of the road to be rolling for the pigs, but at least it’s nice to see that even the cops know the domestics are crap.

Japanese cars aren’t expensive. they’re just sold at the correct price.
Ford, Chevy and GM are cheap because they’re trying to clear their lots of undesirable cars, getting rid of them at a lower price than it cost to build them. They are losing money when they sell their cars at the price you think is normal.
