Ford has taken the wraps off its latest special edition pickup truck, the Harley-Davidson F-150. Designed as a successor to the performance-oriented Lightning, the Harley-Davidson model is geared toward street driving and passenger comfort – with an added dose of expressive style commemorating the legendary Milwaukee-based motorcycle manufacturer.
Standard are 22-inch wheels wrapped in low-profile performance tires. The paint selection is classic Harley-Davidson — Tuxedo Black and the first Ford application of Lava, a deep maroon with three-color metal flake. The Harley-Davidson F-150 will come in the SuperCrew cab configuration only.
“There’s a real tie-in between the truck’s interior and exterior designs,” said Patrick Schiavone, Design director. “It’s very much like how some customized Harley-Davidson motorcycles have a prominent theme that runs through them. That’s how we tie it in with custom bikes.”
“The theme of the seat was designed to resemble a Harley biker jacket,” Schiavone said. “We even used authentic materials you’d find on Harley-Davidson MotorClothes brand apparel.”
The 2010 Harley is equipped with a 5.4-liter three-valve engine, which is rated up to 320 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque and mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with a sport-tuned exhaust and a top speed of 115 mph.
The truck is available with 4×2 or an optional all-wheel drive, which features settings of 4×2, AWD and 4×4 high, unique to the Harley-Davidson edition on the F-150 platform.

Yawn. Wake me up when they put the 32-valve four-cammer strapped to the ‘charger from the GT500.
Bankruptcy2009’s mom needs one to tow her barely running ‘96 Taurus Wagon Duratec around once she figures out where she can get a lube job and cheap labor for that leaking valve cover gasket and front crank seal behind the timing cover. She sucked me off last time after I fixed her cylinder misfire. All part of a job well done…in her rear end…er…solid beam axle of course.

Awesome looking truck. Honestly I’ve strongly considered buying a truck at the end of the year, and this WOULD be at the top of my list. I say “would” because I’m not paying this kind of money for a dated 320 hp V-8. I’d wait for something much better, say, the 5.4L supercharged with the new 6-speed auto, or the Hurricane 6.2L.
As it is, I’d rather buy a supercharged Tundra or Silverado/Sierra Denali with the 6.2L.

Oh Yeah NFMOGM that is why the Ford F-150 OUTSELLS EVERYTHING ELSE and has Been America’s BEST SELLING Vehicle and Pickup for the last 35 going on 40 Years. Oh yeah that includes outselling your beloved low quality GM crap like Sliverado and GMC Senility and it does’nt look like its gonna change any time soon. GM looks like it’ll have its hands just trying to stay afloat. Meanwhile the competition gets better and GM still continues to look as Dumb as you and your Pretty Stupid. Oh yeah Dodge RAM, NIssan Titan, Honda Ridgeline, Toyota Tundra, and soon to be announced VW Pickups are all Better MADE and Better choices overall and Rank Higher by Motor Trend than your GM GARBAGE. Is that clear you Horse’s ASS or do you want me to school you on the Facts a little further!

Bankruptcy2009, how can you feel sorry for the workers of GM? They’ve had ample time to re train themselves, look for other work, etc. I’m sorry I have no pity for someone who doesn’t have the brains or the sense of duty to their families to ensure that their skill set is one that the job market can appreciate. By natural events in the economy, and ones that have been (and are) manufactured by government, this should have served as ample warning to find new employment. This all started several years ago.
I’m sorry that this sounds harsh, but many in this society are constantly harping on the plight of manufacturing jobs. I’ll be the bad guy and reserve the energy that could be used on pity, and figure out a way to earn more money for me.
GM’s problems stem from bad executive leadership, and the government is enabling this. Don’t get mad when they take that money and run to Las Vegas junkets. We all voted for the people that approved these expenditures. It won’t be the end of the world when the D3 fail. There are plenty of USA auto companies ready to take their place.
The bottomline is that, do not feel sorry for the workers of a domestic or foreign auto manufacturer. They voted for this, we voted for this. Elections matter.

Idrinorbarsaku, the cheap exhaust is easily remedied. Buy a Borla exhaust, which you’d be doing soon enough to get more sound out of the engine, cause it is afterall, a Harley Davidson truck.

Jon Luc,
did you seriously think that you had to spend your time to post something of which you thought I didn’t already know?
the reason i made that statement is because you can see where the chrome tips are held in place by a clasp of some sort at the end.
and, borlas aren’t too bad, but i prefer magnaflow from experience. I’m only talking about sound. We first had a borla dual setup on the suburban, but it droned like crazy. It was cool at first, but it got old real fast! then we sold that and got a twin magnaflow catback system…it was like man handling god!!! it sounded awesome!! the drone was not as noticeable on the highway, but you can sure hear it when you go to pass someone:)

but, results may be different on a ford though. because the suburbans already have a low deep rumble when idling.

I looked up at the Roush web site, they do not offer anything for the 2009 F-150. You need their programmer for the trucks fuel injection & ECU working properly. If not then you’ll void the warranty…

Just thought I’d comment on this…
Correct me if I’m wrong, but if you combine the Silverado and Sierra sales (being that they are identical trucks), wouldn’t that make GM the sales leader in full-size pickups? Sure, as a name the “F-150″ sells more units than the name “Silverado” or “Sierra” independently, but there is no denying GM full-size pickups far outsell Ford full-size pickups.

However, if you look at the last pic in the 1st gallery, that engine clearly says 6.2L BOSS.
