I’m starting to see a lot of Flex’s, ‘10 Mustangs, and now Fusions on the road. What’s interesting is that here (Los Angeles’ west-side) imports rule. So perhaps Ford really is starting to make some inroads.

Ironically, I just got rid of my ‘06 Mustang. It was actually a great car (reliable, well built, fun, and reasonably efficient) that I would highly recommend. I just get bored with my cars every couple of years.

LWA if you were a business guy then you would not be leftwing. The leftwing agenda, despite superficially noble intentions, is exactly contrary to what businesses need to grow and provide jobs and improve the life and means and freedom of people.

But to put it succinctly … no, businesses can not announce sales upon receipt of an order. The order must be fulfilled with this type of product. Long-term projects will have milestones that need to be completed for revenue recognition, but cars don’t qualify as such. Besides, this is Ford Canada so unless Obama is buying them there Canuckies cars, I dont think US gov purchases will affect this.

could be, bubs, they announced the sales and the breakdown of how many millions were for each company, though…i guess it depends on their business practices, but if there’s an announcement you’re buying 80 million of something, the company could put that on the books immediately, rather than wait until delivery…i’m not a business guy, tho…

hehe…mayer. no, i’m refering to the post a few days ago with the june sales numbers for the US, where ford showed a smaller decrease compared to last year than expected…i’m guessing that was due partly to US government fleet sales…so when somebody says “fleet sales”, i bring that up…

i doubt anybody here knows what canadian fleet sales look like…i thought they rode moose and reindeer, anyway…
