With all eyes on GM, Renault, and Nissan — and the prospect of an alliance between the three companies — there has been some speculation about Ford entering into a similar deal. In an interview with the New York Times published Sunday, CEO Bill Ford Jr. said his company would be open to an alliance with another automaker. “Regardless of any deal we might envision, the fact is that we have to fix our North American business,” Mr. Ford said.
