I would love a chance at an audition for the show. I love to design cars and have entered a few contests…runner up “Motor Trend” and “Cool Car Contest” for the Orange County Register (California) also was on Monster Garage as a Designer for the episode “Slingray.”

I currently illustrate car posters and have some designs that have received great comments.

JohnnyBlaze, that car isn’t too bad. If the nose was different and the cabin stretched to fit a second row, i think it would sell well if it stayed within the 20,000 to 35,000 dollar price range. It would be something completely different for the four-dour family sedan class of fusions, altimas, accords, etcs. It would actually be reminiscent of the older Astons and Jag XK’s but with the new idea of the two row coupe. Something there is definitely a market for.

Ahh Ford are nutters… Ford US need to concentrate on bringing European Fords to the US instead of doing this nonsense… Still, would be good to see some nice concepts come out of this..

why didnt they just stick to what they used to do and let the crew from tlc’s ‘rides’ film the making of their concepts? the cobra and gr1 episodes were cool…

I disagree. I think this is a good promotional step for Ford. At this point, they need good promotion. There’s also a lot of good, undiscovered talent out there in the auto design industry and this could be an excellent way to find it. Now, my only question is, Where do I sign up?

Did anyone see that episode of the Simpson’s where Homer designed a car for his brother’s factory? Because, this reeks of that episode, unlike cartoons, unfortunately Ford is serious about this. Some one should just dismantle Ford now and save them the embarrassment.
