Ford President, COO to retire

Ford today announced that Jim Padilla will retire as the company’s president and chief operating officer, effective July 1. Ford’s rising star Mark Fields will be among a group of several executives who will report directly to Mr. Ford after Mr. Padilla leaves. The executives include Fields, president, the Americas, Mark Schulz, executive vice president and president, International Operations; Anne Stevens, executive vice president and chief operating officer, The Americas; and Lewis Booth, executive vice president, Ford of Europe and Premier Automotive Group.

I doubt we’ll see it.
Its a shame to see Jim leave the company, he single handedly tried to correct Ford’s Quality troubles and was for the most part successful with that. A true car guy too.
