Ford issued a recall for 65,000 examples of its best-selling F-series Super Duty pick-up trucks to strengthen the fuel tanks’ mounting points. The automaker is concerned about a possible gasoline leak after the trucks are in a front-end crash.

As per Ford ’s recall letter on the NHTSA website, the recall involves 2008 model year F-250 and F-350 trucks, and will involve a bracket to be added to help secure the tank at no charge at Ford dealers.

In head-on impacts at speeds of 30 mph, the tanks can move forward and spill fuel that could ignite, Ford explained.
