I enjoy the commercial with Taylor Hicks. I stop to watch it whenever it comes on. Obviously it works, or the prior, lame, and jealous comments wouldn’t exist. The commerical grabs your attention. Way to go Taylor.

The Ford ad sucks. Hicks doesn’t so much sing as bellow the lyrics, and he flails around like he’s having a friggin’ epileptic seizure.
The ad’s annoyingness is compounded by the fact that it is RIDICULOUSLY OVERPLAYED. On my local Fox affiliate (which is the only channel I really watch for an extended period), it is on literally every commercial break. Every single one! I think once it actually ran twice during the same break!
If I were in the market for a new car I would NOT buy a Ford just based on my boiling hatred for the damned commercial.

I really enjoy watching Taylor Hicks sing and perform. I think he is a GREAT talent and I was keeping my fingers crossed he would win and he did!!
Anyone who sends in vulgar or disrespectful messages should be ashamed of themselves. Look in the mirror and see what dreams you have accomplished before you bash at someone else. To Taylor: if you read all the negative messages that are posted do not take them personally, they are just messages coming from jealous, insecure people who would rather condem the success of others that do positive things in their life. I am a Canadian, and if the negative messages are coming from his own American “brothers” then double shame on them!! I bought 3 copies of Taylor’s debut CD, one for my car, one for my daughter and a copy for the house. I can hardly wait for any future CD’s to come out as well. I wish him success and he is obviously a very humble guy, content in his own skin. Personally I think he is handsome and sexy. I hope he stays the way he is and does not follow the Hollywood trend and change his image, Taylor is perfect the way he is!

Ford is a company. Like most successful companies it has a job is to sell product. If they did not sign on American Idol’s to represent their product, some other company would have. You could call that Good Business practice. The comments about wieght and colour of hair is so uncalled for and again I would be ashamed of myself If I ever posted such horrible things on the internet for all to see. I wish Taylor Hicks success and if it includes singing for Ford, or any other company then good luck to him. On the finale, Taylor said he was “living the American Dream” can’t EVERYONE be happy for him? Ford, if you do not remove this commercial from the air I have a feeling your sales will decrease substansially! Taylor Hicks has a little bit of talent, but in the 30 seconds that he sings “possibilities” I have learned to forget any of his talent, and the fact that I’m watching a Ford commercial because I’ve pushed mute or turned the channel. If I had enough money I’d sell the Ford I’m driving now and buy something else solely because of my HATRED for this commercial!
