ford and uncle sam claim to be concerned about our safety here in the U.S. when it comes to smart or micro cars…..but it’s OK to ride motorcycles??? WTF!!!!

A real 4×4 Bronco that will undercut the FJCruiser and H3 will be a winner. Ford needs to rethink its strategy because it will miss out on an oppurtunity with soaring gas prices nowadays. What are the Ford bosses thinking? Blow more holes in a sinking ship?

Maybe we should get a petition going, even if you don’t like Ford, that has everyone writing to Ford just saying “Ford – the time is right!” It’d be hilarious to see them balk on all the letters and sputter and say “Well uh, only when the time is really truley right, when we get a sign from God”

Oh, c’mon now. We all know you can’t please everyone. Ford kept the Mustang faithful to it’s solid-axle heritage, and as a result it gets panned by many bloggers (check out some of the posts on The Truth About Cars’ recent Mustang road test).

If the new Bronco goes on sale with solid axles, be prepared for a massive blogger-bashing. If the Bronco goes on sale with fully independent suspension, be prepared for a massive blogger-bashing…

Why would Ford make the Bronco as a solid axle 4×4? How asanine, it’s 2006, the south lost the war and nobody thinks your skyjacker lift kit on your 45,000 truck is cool because the 3,000 dollar McT’s never touched dirt.

i really tought you guys up there in the north had the Ka and Fiesta, here in venezuela we dont have those gas price thanks to god but most ppl cant pay bigger car and the fiesta is a nice little car…. we have the fit yaris fiesta ka c2 c3 aveo and a new chevy that cant remember the name… now its the time in usa to release the fiesta and the ka not later

That’s it. Ford is too stupid to make and sell cars here. It’s a no-brainer to bring the Ka and the Fiesta here. What does “distinct product” mean? Answer: Inferior and too late. Bring the microcars from Europe now, and bring the diesels too. Is there anyone with a brain running Ford????

I agree with MM, and 1952 MG TD. I don’t want to see the “mighty” Bronco turned into another CRV, 4wd box.
When do they think the time is right? If you do bring over a micro car, here are the things I and many others would want:
*The choice of a turbo diesel or flexfuel gas motor that gets good torque and is sporty.
*And practical.
That’s what many consumers want, simple as that.

Until time is right? Gas is over 3 bucks a gallon and insurance rates are soaring. When is the right time then? When Ford is bankrupt?

I agree that ford should revive the Bronco in its truest form: Solid axles, V8 engine, solid frame, removeable roof

I think toyota should have also followed this formula when resurecting the FJ. They dropped the ball as well.

As a huge fan of 4×4′s, and a huge fan of Jeep, I am going to have to laugh my ass off when ford brings an 3/5ths scale xB to market on a subcompact platform and slaps the “Bronco” nameplate to it.

Ford is quickly becoming the single biggest laughing stock of the automotive industry.

Please dont bring the Bronco to production and screw it up. I dont want some small CUV like Honda Element thing which looks like a car. I want the Bronco to come back as a hardcore off roader that will crush the Wrangler.
