Pretty soon, there will be no more room to downsize at Ford. The American Revolution has been kicking Fords ass for decades and now Ford is really one toe from the grave. Sad really, Ford used to be an American brand like GM but then they concentrated too much on those A-holes in Europe for business so to me, they sold out and are no longer an American company.

This isn’t bad, this is good, and we’ve seen it coming for a while. It’s been reported on before how Tata has been gearing up for the purchase. I think Tata is serious about the marques, and will do a good job owning them.

I’m just surprised that the deal involves Ford still shouldering some of the legacy costs. I’m sure Ford would have liked to have packed all the pension plans in the backs of the Range Rovers and shipped those off too….

Tata controlling Jag can’t be that bad. Ford eats away every company it’s owned from within, like a ****ing cancer. Anyone else running the show is a step up.

1. There are no geniuses guiding Ford.
2. Ford no longer needs Volvo, since you can buy all Volvo bits in European Ford for 25-30% less then in Volvo. Volvo is already dead, Ford just late with obituary.

Ford definitely needs Volvo. I don’t care what their reason is, if Ford sells Volvo they’re as good as dead. Volvo is tops when it comes to safety, durability and AWD systems. You’d have to be a fool to shoot yourself in the foot like this.

It really never needed too, Aston, Landrover, and Jaguars sell themselves. I find it funny since the British Empire bascially made slaves out of Indians and now they own 2 of Britannias most British auto manufacturers.

I actually hope they don’t sell Volvo. You guys may bash on Ford all the time, for who knows what, but consider that Ford never applied a marketing agenda to fit into it’s lineup to any of it’s premier auto manufacturer’s, like GM, Chrysler, Volkswagen, Toyota and almost every other automanufacturer out there do. That, took real balls.
