I think this would be a great thing. I’ have a ’92 Ford Bronco with a Rebuilt/Remanufactured 5.8Liter 351 Windsor, Wild Country Mud Tires, Glasspacks, etc. and I get eh..about 18 or 19 Mpg, and Not Sure how much hp I have, but It does not good, but Perfect in the mud, i’ve been in mud & water up to the middle of my back window of it.-even backing up through it. The bronco is a perfect On and Off-Road Vehicle. I think if they actually do come out with this, that alot of people will be interested and happy about it. I know I definitly would be, i would probably have to pick one up sometime, or atleast testdrive = ]. And I use to also have a scout they def. need to remake that also.. My bronco and My Scout are definitly my 2 fav. vehicles i’ve had, for just driving and Mudding, Going to the River, Playin in the sand, Snow, etc. dirtynooblet@yahoo.com is my email, email for questions, or anything. -pz

It seems that a lot of people have ignorant comments. The new bronco concept is a retro fit to the greatest broncos that ever lived and putting a four cylinder turbo diesel in it would be a great idea. I’ve driven behind a four cylinder turbo diesel in the ford ranger when I was over seas and I was impressed. If you want to educate your self on the original bronco look up “early broncos” ford use to compete with the scout, the jeep, and the fj. Its time to bring back the original broncos and the market will welcome it.

This simply isn’t true. I emailed Ford and they claim there are no future plans to roll out a new bronco.

The first time I saw the Bronco Concept,I wanted one right away,and I still do! I was just hoping that Ford would have put it into production earlier than late 2008.Overall a great repoduction of the great broncos!,Ford has vote on this one.

Ford is definetly taking to long,I’ve been waiting yrs. for the concept and not about to wait 3 more years… I’am going with the FJ Cruiser,and that $10,000. price tag has to be a typo … The Bronco is suppose to be just under the Ford Escape in price,that’s according to an old article in truck trends magazine!

This looks great. I am a diehard ford fan and curently have am looking to purchase a ford escape. This Bronco would be 10 times better than the Front wheel drive pavement friendly grocery getter. I cant wait to get A bronco I will buy one no matter what the price is. Ford Is the best and they are doing a lot to try and turn around their situation. Help America Buy American.

I can show you a full size Bronco with a newly rebuilt modified 5.8L with a six inch all suspension lift and 35 inch tires that that can push 300+ ponies and still maintain 18 mpg comparable to many of the modern day V6 Suv’s and light trucks currenly produced. This vehicle is a contradiction to most V8 engines of it’s same displacement. This particular vehicles secret is
1. 1993 Mustang Gt roller cam
2. Alluminium forged pistons
3. 302 heads (bumps up compression slightly)
4 roller lifters
5 shorty headers (attached forward of O2 sensor.
6 4:56 gears front and rear

This particular combination properly utilizes the stock computer operating perameters while it includes improved internal components for greater performance and effecientcy. The 90′s Broncos posses an unusualy tight turning radius for most wide body full size trucks which is a definte plus for parking. This vehicle is extremly pleasing to drive and should in my opionion be duplicated with newer modern technology and the persent year F-series truck frontal design. Is this a possiblily or is this an unreasonable request?

Glad that there is at least a Bronco in the Works. I would like to see two options for this name.
1. The smaller fuel efficient concept design (currently planned)
2. A larger design included that resebles an excursion only with two doors instead of four. I believe that people are looking for variety. Some want to save on fuel, others are looking for power and strength. The former 90′s Broncos were of this later category. Any hope for a new Larger Bronco?

Yes, I want one, but can’t wait for 3 years.
A $10K econobox would be good.
What I really want is a $15K to $20K utilitarian 4X4.
I want a new “Defender” that doesn’t have electronic suspension & all the other gadgets on the LR3.
How about a 110, that can seat 9 cramped passengers?
Give me something I can hose out…

The Toyota FJ is already out…The Ford Bronco is the same type of vehicle…why is it not already out? I do not understand. Why must Ford be 3 years behind on everything? I would buy the Bronco if it looked like the concept, but I know when it comes out it will not even be close. The FJ looks like the concept and mark my word it will sell!

Late 2008? NO GOOD… you can’t combat someone elses lucrative ideas with a model that wont come out for almost 3 years. By then the Japanese will have something else new. Another blunder puts Ford closer to the blender.
