I'm happy that I own a Ford. Two actually. Ones a 90' Taurus wagon, and despite what most people will say about the Taurus, it's the best car I've ever owned. And all of Ford's recent products have been at or near the top of their game in terms of initial quality, design and image. They've been making some extremely good moves, both politically and product wise. But there are still improvements to be made.

FORD seems to be leaning back to wards Cars. It's like 54% trucks and SUVs right now for them. That might reflect a more realistic demographic cut of the buying public.

But I want FORD to seriously bring over or build in the US many of their best cars in EUROPE and abroad including the entire FOCUS line AWDs included, Bring the FALCON already, while the bringing is still good, and get back to making a new mid-sized or compact pick-up replacement for the decrepit RANGER.

GM needs to stop cutting off product that will sell, thusly tossing out billions in development money and billions more in sales. They need to make cars that will sell and not panic over ever least little shift in the wind. They know we will buy RWD cars, the ZETA and ALPHA, if they would just build them. Those platforms alone would have killed the GENESIS sedan and coupe before they ever hit the market.

Sarge, those execs at GM were not greedy. They were lazy and stupid. Greedy is going for more money by getting more of it, not finding ways not to spend it. It takes enormous will and insight to be greedy and successful. Being lazy and stupid, well that is what it sounds like. The Gm Execs, did not want to get up off their a$$es to make more money. just find ways not to spend anymore. GM used to make money hand over fist even selling crap. Now that they HAVE TO make great cars they aren't. Pinning all their hopes on a couple of cars, when they have RIGHT NOW an entire arsenal of top notch "killer apps" to level on the competition at EVERY price point, except the very bottom and the very top of the price list.

Greed can be positive motivation if tempered with the desire to gain, not merely retain, and restrained and disciplined to be sustainable over a long haul and ever burning to motivate even when times are tough.

FORD has been very conservative, and I wish they had been a bit more adventuresome in some areas like LINCOLN and MERCURY. A couple of hot cars would not have hurt and may have helped really. But they need to start running more than walking briskly as they have been.

KUDOS, FORD. They have never let me down. Now don't just fail to disappoint me. Make me happy!

Say what you want about Ford, but the fact is that Ford has come along way, and they sill have further to go. But as we all know, it's the journey of the destination that we look for the always the destination, and that's because we already been there... At the TOP as No. 1........

Let's be honest Ford while applaud Ford and give them credit for a job well done and are set up with Great products coming in the near future. The truth is the were in trouble 5 years ago and reorganized nearly 4 years ago. They beat the huge Fuel Price Increase and America's Current Near Depression they beat The World Economic Tsunami and were better prepared when things went bad.

Ford Co. CEO Steps Down Amid Record Losses

Day to Day, September 6, 2006 · Bill Ford has stepped down as president and CEO of Ford Motor Co., the car manufacturing giant founded by Ford's great-grandfather. The giant car manufacturer has struggled through a period of slipping profits and shrinking market share.

Jean Jennings, editor-in-chief of Automobile Magazine, talks with Madeleine Brand about the implications of the move.

So before everyone has knee jerk conclusions the truth is Ford was in Dire-Straights before The economy went bad and reorganized in a much easier economic climate. I find it quite disturbing that it is so easier for those to refuse to by a product because the President Of The United States refused to let over a Million of Your Fellow Americans to loose their jobs, because of Greedy/Dumb CEO's and Management. Yes GM made a huge mistake by dropping the GEO Line and having Twice as many Domestic Car Lines than made sense it todays Automotive World. Chrysler was Raped by Mercedes because of a move made by a greedy Board Of Directors.

I'm not saying that Ford products are better than GM (or Chrysler) but I agree that this is a major PR move. Ford is in a similar pickle to GM but the difference is that they have avoided backruptcy and are not under goverment scrutiny. That keeps the product and production control in their court. Carpe Diem. (Should I have saved that for Chrysler/Fiat?)

I certainly admire Ford Motors a lot more than i have before by standing bravely to the current economy's condition. They didn't stick their hand out for any handouts, although i respect everything Mr. Obama is doing for the ailing auto industry. But GM and Chrysler should be really embarrassed by their decision making and take notes from Ford. they should change their selfish ways and get their act together. And does each representative need their own private jet to travel to the same location in Washington? Treat your employees and customers with respect and honor their request for more reliable vehicles such and Ford has. The 2010-11 line-up is simply beautiful. Keep up the good work Ford

The government owns general motors! Sounds like a story you would hear in Stalin's Russia not the U.S.A. Mayer Ray has the right idea. GM/Chrysler are off by list of cars to consider when I need a new one.

I'm fairly certain Ford market will upswing damn soon because only a fool would buy from Obama Motors.

As a domestic brand that represents true American capitalist values, Ford is the last man standing. Let the losers buy from Gov't Motors.

From my experience, when companies are trying to push for market share, they actually have more discounts and are cheaper than the companies that are hurting. I think you'll find some very good deals on Ford in the near future from this.
