Blakkar- Take your head out of your ass. Just because Ford was second to offer a bedliner doesn't mean they're not "on top" of the game.
The only reason why I'm even bringing your comment up is because, your so eager to jump on the bandwagon asap, to file Ford for not offering it first.

I don't care if they were first, do you see any other automanufacturer in this class of pick-up truck offering a factory bedliner?

Toyotas Taco composite bed cant handle heavy ladder racks. And is the only composite construction bed truck (Ridgeline is a car w/open trunk). All others are std steel beds w/plastic liners or spray in liners. Spray ins are best, hands down.

Brendion,

Did you read and COMPREHEND my comment? I said Nissan did it, that is used bed coating, first and Toyota offered Composite beds - certainly before FORD did in a full sized truck to address the same issues.

Also, NO, I don't think FORD acted quickly enough. AS I aside FORD fancies itself the top pof the truck heap and they did nothing along these lines before. It is just another sign the FORD will always be late to any party worth attending.

Also, I think the Sport Trac does have a composite bed, which was offered at essentially the same time Toyota started offering it on their Tacoma P/U, upon it's redesign a few years back. But the Sport Trac is a veritable non-player unlike the Tacoma. So it really doesn't count even as much as the TITAN does or did.

ricardohead- SportTrac had it just a little bit later than Toyota, I believe. I could be wrong on that though. And I agree with the spray on bedliners, but most of them that I've seen thrashed like that were cheap, lazy jobs. Some of the newer ones are pretty amazing.

Didnt the Sprt Trac have a composite bed before Toyota?

Personally I am not fan of the spray-on liners. I've seen them faded as hell and peeling. With a normal liner if it's trashed I can swap it out in 10 minutes for $200 and be done with it. Spray-on costs more to do up front, takes mroe time, then costs more to fix. There is a market for it, however.

Did you read the article? Only Nissan did it before. And Nissan doesn't matter in terms of competition because their market share is so small. So yes, they've done it quickly enough. First? No, but you can bet that people aren't gonna remember that Nissan did it first after Ford markets the crap out of it.

Did you know that Nissan had it already?

Gee, only after Nissan offered it and Toyota offered composite beds. For a company that is supposed to be the tops of the truck game, they really don't do this stuff first or quickly enough.
