Let me correct myself… they’ve already showcased the plug-in Ford Edge. There’s one showcase for you, commodore.

tripleonefive- Not able to say I’ve seen you around as of lately.

Mazdaman, tripleonefive, CTS- It’s very likely this is going to be an SUV, very possible to do something with the Edge which has been rumored to go hybrid for the past few years. If it’s any other SUV in their lineup, it would be the Taurus X. If it was the Explorer or Expedition there might be rumors floating around about the F-150 getting the same treatment, which there isn’t.

Commodore- Agreed. I would like to see them showcase a concept with this technology, not just a concept, and not just the technology. Put it all together, maybe even make the hybrid run on E85 and gasoline.

holy crap my post above is terrible i mispelled everything, that is what happens with a busted hand, had a little trouble keeping the rubber side down on the dirtbike last month, but i only have 4 sessions left with my skanky physical therapist.

Ford will trademark anything with an E or F
Ford Five hundred rolls off the tongue better than Taurus. Either way the car sucks

Too little, too late. Trademarking a product name with no product in sight is like registering a Web domain without a company behind it — meaningless. Another bold move.

I agree with CTS DRIVER. “E” stands for “EXIT to another letter of the alphabet!”

Actually, it’s a shame Futura is tied up by Pep Boys. It would be a great name for this vehicle.

..I wouldn’t mind if they showed a concept of their plug-in vehicle like GM did with the Volt. That way, I know that there is really something they are working on and that they are serious about it
