Almost one-third of the autoworkers at Ford ’s Wixom Assembly Plant have agreed to take buyouts ranging from early retirement plans to $100,000 payouts. Of 1,433 hourly workers at the plant, 433 decided to take buyouts that were effective June 1, reports the Detroit Free Press. In all, 2,574 workers have now taken buyouts from Ford plants in St. Louis; Edison, N.J.; Lorain, Ohio; Woodhaven, and Wixom.
