It is also used in modified for in nearly all gas Land Rovers. The Yahama V8 appears to be destined just for Volvos and nothing else. I see the AJV8 getting pumped up in performance from the current 300-305 hp up to 340-360 hp depending on application. The SC version of the AJV8 will probably go up to 450hp or so up from the current 390-400 hp. Jag does not a entry level coupe/sedan and the X-type should have been great but they screwed it up. I think the real problem was that it was cheap quality, poor at best. Jaguar became an uninspiring modern brand because that car was not luxury and was not quality. Now, that said, there is still a legacy that follows Jag. The XK is a phenominal car and the direction I'd like to see the brand go. It is honest to that legacy image. It is really unfortunate too as Jaguar cars are really very nice. They have top notch relablity now which is bordering on Lexus like levels. They are one of the few brands that have actually reduced the weight in their cars by going to mostly aluminium construction. Jaguar probably has more experience building mass market aluminium bodied cars then any other manufacturer. But none of that will matter if they can't increase their customer base. They have to reach a younger market but right now none of their cars speak to that younger demographic.
