Ford ’s high-profile executive in charge of its hybrid vehicle program has put in her resignation, the auto maker said on Friday. The departure of Mary Ann Wright, director of Ford’s sustained mobility technology and hybrid vehicle programs, comes at a time when the No. 2 U.S. auto maker is pushing ahead with ambitious growth plans for the hybrid segment. Wright is leaving for personal reasons, Ford spokesman Oscar Suris said. Wright’s departure “doesn’t change Ford’s plans” when it comes to hybrid production, Suris told the Associated Press. Wright’s resignation is latest in a series of high-profile exits at Ford, which is struggling to turn around its automotive operations. Phil Martens, Ford’s head of product development in North America, left the automaker earlier this month.
