30 grand for that? If I see anyone driving one of these on the road I will point and laugh. As a two time Lightning owner the concept was the new hope for the hipo truck crowd. Everyone was waiting for this thing to come out... now this is what they give the people. Just when I think Ford has hit rock bottom they keep sinking lower and lower... its a damn shame!

I helped fill a neighbors Rigeline up with about 4 concrete bags and a small pile of bricks. The sort-of truck was squatting so bad I thought it was going to collapse the rear springs. Also the wheels had neative camber looked funny.

Rompn4x-
I think the problem is some of these useless punks do live in the US.
And of all the vehicles known as trucks sold in the US, the Ridgeline is the most Wantabe of all.

Are most of you guys who knock Ford even living in America? If not then shutup haha these cars don't concern you sooo enough with your two bit pointless comments you spew out to try to impress your little cubicle friends! Don't get all butthurt on my comments as well =P I think the Sport-trac is a good alternative for someone who wants a 4 door truck but a V8 varient is not finacially possible. They look way better then a Ridgeline, has the cool roll down back window years before Toyota put one in the Tundra, and the Explorer-Ranger-Sport Trac's have been proven reliable. Hell my old ranger almost went to 200,000 miles and would of gone longer if it wasn't in an accident, and it had the same drivetrain.

Actuually the only thing the Ridgeline only beets the Sport trac in one major stat. and that is drivability. Sport trac beats in payload, towing, power, safty, reliability. I guess that depends on which magazine you read and at which time.

The Sport Trac cannot compete with the class leaders. The Ridgeline destroys it in nearly every dynamic/characteristic.

I will say this. To all who want a supercharger I can't disagree, but the V8 in this has the most power in it's class. And yes their is a V8 and V6. I noticed some post's didn't notice that.

Ford could do so much better on that interior.

I hate the mid-size pickup market. It's probably the most ignored, and the worst market currently, maybe besides full size vans. Cheap interiors, horrible ride quality and horrible engines are just a few to list.

And then here's the Ford Sport Trac. It's an improvement over the mid-size, but it's not so mid-size anymore. I would buy the Chevrolet Avalanche over this, which looks much better fit and finish.
And yet this looks more like the F-150! How about just get rid of the Sport-Trac, and improve upon the Ranger which desperately needs an update! Ford should capitalize on the Mid-size pickup market, even improve your image!

Ford has enough trims to make things confusing already. Adding a blackout grille, some "dubs" and a body kit just makes things worse.

SVT isn't gone they are working on new cars as we speak. This Adrenaline really dissapoints me though. It would have been simple to throw the 4.6s/c in there and make good performing vehicle.

It would have made a better base for a tuner truck if they had added the V8. Further, at least tune the suspension. The Regular Sport Trac was geared more for the unpaved road. This "streetwise" mech will need a streetwise suspension, at the very least.

FORD never should have killed SVT. They should have given them free reign to butt in and get some "oomph" into FORD's line-up and new products. Let the Performance department actually do their job. Some cars may never have been made, others would have been vastly better, and still some would have been made or shipped (thinking of that hot Focus RS).

Doesn't really matter to me though. I'm not sure I'm going to get a FORD next time around unless something really changes with them.

They have far too little faith in themselves to really stretch their legs and run with any of the great ideas they had before. The Adrenaline, that could have been a great name by itself, was practically a Mustang in EST clothing, with IRS and possibly AWD. A nice idea. Now it's just another trim level. If they are going to build 'em buff, then build the "buff" not "puff".

FORD built a totally bad-@$$ dune buggy concept a few years back. That would have been a great starting point for a Sport Trac. Just move the engine up front. Maybe base it off a trophy truck. Talk about going grill to grill with Jeep.

If nothing else, a purpose built platform, with performance as a main focus. I'm not saying build a street sports truck, though if BMW and MERCEDES-BENZ are a basis, then it makes for better SUVs and so an Adrenalin would be easier to pull off to a degree that would be so much better.

When FORD decides to pee standing up again, I may consider a FORD in the future.

DAMMIT ford DAMMIT. Tune the suspension and put in the better motor. Even if it doesn't sell in high numbers it will get people in the showroom, and at least create a stir about Fords Bold Moves.

Richt, I also think it looks good superficially for a sport truck, but from what I know the driving experience is a far cry from the looks. These Sport Tracs sit way high, way top-heavy, and on a very cushy, springy suspension that is a virtual joke in the modern world. They also do not do a good job of being a truck (load/capacity-wise) so in effect the things look fine but are posers in that they do nothing that their appearance implies (sport truck), and so they are a joke.

For 30k sticker you can a well equipped full size that will get the same mileage and do real work plus it actually handles a lot better. As such there is zero reason for the Explorer Sport Trac to exist ... or be purchased.

Maybe Ford should just scrap everything and just sell different variations on the F-150 and Mustang. Oh wait, that is all that sells for them! OK, a few Fusions too, but nothing else.

At the risk of stupid anthropomorphism: in red it most resembles Michael Jackson's jacket from Beat It and Thriller. And that's not a good thing.

So basically, everything good was left out, and everything ugly is there. What the HELL is that front grill?? It looks shitty on Audis, don't copy it elsewhere.

3 times in 2 days so far that a LLN post on Ford has made it clear how pointless the company really is.
