Pull our heads out of our asses?! What are you talking about!? That is the EXACT reason GM just lost so many jobs, so many factories, and so much money! You can’t think like that. You can’t think “if we’ll build it they’ll buy it” because the American public isn’t like that. We’re all on this forum because we love cars, so yeah we’re all interested in this stuff but most people are not. We’re not the majority of people here. You can go to Scion, which I dislike the cars, and get a fully customized car. It really is you, sir, who needs his head out of his ass.

you’re right!! i DONT like it! and i WONT buy it! but just because i dont like it doesnt mean i have to refrain from posting, just because what im saying is anti american doesnt mean i have to keep my thoughts to myself, thats the point of these comments, to get objective, critical responses that are both pro AND con, not just pro. If you’re allowed to like the car, i’m allowed to dislike it, and im also allowed to voice that dislike. And #23, show me a BMW from the 80’s that resembles the Z4, the current 6 series, the current 7 series, or better yet, the 7 series from a few years ago before it got tamed down, or the current 5 series. I sure would like to see an 80’s bmw that looks like any of those cars now. SURE WOULD!

It’s not like these are the first pictures that came out. Everyone in here that is against it is pretty hypocritical being that you ALL had to do some sort of search to find this information. Pull your head out of your asses!!! NOBODY is going to have a car built to THEIR specific needs unless they own their own car company.

The car does look cool. The grill is awful and the interior is just disgusting though. And the whole ‘don’t like it, don’t buy it’ doesn’t work any more for American cars because people are overal against them. They need people to like their cars now, they can’t afford to get much bad press.

I agree with #22 James. This car looks cool. Japanese cars suck. At least this car looks cool without the need of an aftermarket body kit. That and it doesn’t sound like leaf blower.

Hey if you don’t like it don’t buy it. Most of you have your minds set no matter what the car would look like, the 4th gen bodies were ” too radical and futuristic and nothing like 3rd gen” that was said back in the early 90’s nothing will satisfy everyone. BTW BMW 850 I take it your “beeeemer” is used since they haven’t changed much in “styling since the early eighties, If you don’t think so you blind. Hmmmmmm Think before you speak/type.

There seems to be an overwhelmingly positive response to this car. I however, think it’s pretty ugly looking. The front end reminds me of tiny, beady little crossed eyes, and the overall design is too overdone and yes, i do recognize that it’s a concept. The interior looks pretty nasty too, with that sick orange color and YES, the overdone retro! how can you not see it being retro?? look at the speedo and tach! oh and im oh so glad they let the DETRIOT FREE PRESS take a test drive, they really went out on a limb there, as if the detroit free press would ever say anything negative regarding this car.

I tried, I really tried to like it, but I still think the interior sucks. The exterior is quite cool, sort of american butch, but I can’t help thinking: Why is GM designing oldfashioned cars in 2006? I agree with #16: If you want to drive outdated styling, buy a used car…

Somebody sure seems to like retro. Mustang is selling sowewhere near 20,ooo per month. that will keep a plant running by itself. If Camaro cold do the same that would be sweet.

There are 6 things wrong with this car that I can see so far. They’re on the front, back, and wheels. Why is Chevy putting it’s badge EVERYWHERE on this car? The old Camaros never had the Chevy badge. Where is the red, white, and blue stripes? That and I think a billeted grill would look better, or at least more than one horizontal bar. Other than that this car is looking great (even if they did rip off the 05 Mustang concept: http://www.leftlanenews.com/2006/02/28/the-2009-ford-mustang-not-quite/ ). I hated GM for getting rid of the one nice car they had left so to hear it’s back is good news.

nothing “kewl” about this car, it’s ugly down to the bones… I’ve seen couple generation of camaros, all have cheap plastics inside. however with the improvement in the engine, driving this speedy garbage truck is still UGLY/// Agree with comment #11 VDub, no more retro styling. If we’re going to drive outdated styling we’d go buy a used car.

i like the kewl retro interior I have to admit I hate the new mustang. I guess I need to wait a while before reality hit me and then I will realize how the exterior looks like crap. Actually I hate the exterior I love the interior though. Hopefully the material aren’t crappy plastic **** like the Silverado.

No GM car has ever had seatbelts like that. The GM was the button you pressed to release the belt, which is not the function it serves here. There’s obviously an orange button you press to release the buckle, which is the piece with the GM logo. I think it’s a pretty slick design, it’s too bad people jump to rip GM at every step without thinking. Certainly they’ve done plenty of wrong in the past, but their concept cars have always been the best. They just typically fail to execute, but hopefully that is changing.
