With the debut of Honda’s FC Sport concept car the the LA Auto Show today, car enthusiasts can rest assured high-performance vehicles will have a place in a world without carbon emissions. Honda surprised us with the launch of the new hydrogen-powered concept car, which seats three and employs the technology from the FCX Clarity sedan in a decidedly exotic package.

At today’s Los Angeles Auto Show, Toyota unveiled a compressed natural gas version of the Camry Hybrid. Toyota says that it is looking into the production viability of a CNG-powered production vehicle as a way to ween automakers off of foreign oil as more than 99 percent of the natural gas consumed in the United States comes from North America.

A single diagram of what appears to be the 2010 Acura NSX has found its way onto the Web, offering the first ever glimpse at how the finished car will look. The new NSX, which has been delayed repeatedly, is expected to incorporate a front-mounted, 550 hp V10 engine and a new high-performance, rear-wheel-drive based version of Acura’s ‘Super Handling All-Wheel Drive’ (SH-AWD). A similar RWD/AWD system is also expected for the 2011 Acura RL.

The 2011 AMG Gullwing has been well documented is spy photographs — and even one spy video — but engineers and test drivers have been able to keep a prying eyes away from the supercar’s interior. However, a new image has surfaced on the internet and appears to reveal the Gullwing’s interior.

Porsche is planning to drop an updated version of its Boxster early next year, but it looks as though the German sports car maker has more in store for the popular drop top than just a refresh. Our spy photographers just spotted a Speedster version of the Boxster undergoing some shakedown testing.

Mercedes-Benz is planning a name change for its next CLK coupe — which was previewed by the Fascination concept car — with the new model to be called the E-Class Coupe. Spy photographers spotted Pagani’s latest supercar undergoing a series of tests in North America, with the new Zonda F inching towards production ready.

There is no question that Aston Martin is one of the world’s premier automakers, but the British marque has never quite commanded the performance spotlight like Lamborghini or Ferrari. That will likely change, however, when Aston Martin launches its One-77, a true supercar that will rival the best in the world. Aston Martin is still keeping relatively quiet about the One-77, but did release a video today explaining the car in a bit more depth.

As of late, General Motors has been spreading its SUV wealth pretty evenly among all of its brands. Buick, GMC and Saturn all have SUVs based on GM’s Lambda platform — the Enclave, Acadia and Outlook, respectively — and Chevrolet recently got its own Lambda-based vehicle in the form of the Chevrolet Traverse. And GM’s SUV platform-sharing only looks to be spreading, as evidenced by these latest spy shots.

Following a single leaked image of what appeared to be a NISMO edition of Nissan’s upcoming 370Z, a number of official NISMO pictures have surfaced online, proving that there will indeed be a NISMO version of the 370Z. The scanned images reveal the JDM version of the NISMO 370Z, but should give us a good idea of what to expect from the U.S. version.

The exhibitionist Kia Soul, seen in various concept car forms as far back as the Geneva Auto Show in March, will come to U.S. showrooms in April of 2009, but the Korean automaker has kept the U.S.-spec car under some tight wraps. But, thanks to some leaked images, we now know what to expect from the U.S. model.

Ford has begun testing the basic mechanical components of its forthcoming unibody Explorer. In typical Ford fashion, the donor-body used for developmental testing on this future Explorer is made up of various vehicles. In this case, modified body panels of a Taurus X and Ford’s new Flex are hiding the new crossover.

Spotted free of any disguise or camouflage, our shooters snapped several photos of what appears to be Bentley’s upcoming Continental GTC Speed doing final high-speed testing. With the same front fascia, air intakes, and rear spoiler as the GT Speed coupe and sedan, we can only assume this GTC Speed convertible has the same 600 horsepower engine under its hood.

While Chrysler is showing off custom versions of the all-new 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 light-duty pickup at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, we’re only two months from the world debut of the new 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 heavy-duty rigs at the Detroit auto show. Our spies have caught single-rear-wheel and dual-rear-wheel Mega Cab models out for their final shakedowns, both with 8-foot beds - a new optional feature for 2010.

Our spy photographers again spotted Ford engineers testing the 2010 Mustang Shelby GT500 on Michigan roads, perhaps trying to get in some final dry weather runs before the winter season begins. The Shelby GT500 is a relatively new addition to the Mustang family, launched a little over two years ago. But with a redesigned Mustang around the corner, Ford engineers are naturally preparing a new GT500 based on the facelifted bodystyle.

With U.S. election fever at its peak, its seems only fitting to bring you a new round of spy photos showing a prototype of the Cadillac Limousine that will be used by either John McCain or Barack Obama some time next year.
