It’s been about six weeks, but our spy photographers once again caught Hyundai’s mid-size SUV, the Santa Fe, out for a Sunday drive. The Santa Fe is due for an update in 2010 and we have a great look at a prototype in the early stages of testing.
As a successor to the 147, Alfa Romeo will release the brand-new 149 later this year. Though our spies have nabbed the 149 in camouflaged form, they can’t legally penetrate Alfa Romeo’s factories – but a Facebook user and Alfa Romeo enthusiast has, giving us what are believed to be genuine photographs of the undisguised 149 that could make its way to North America as the Milano.
BMW has released 183 high-resolution images, as well as some basic details, about its upcoming X1 small SUV. Slotting below the X3, itself due for a redesign, the X1 will bow in the United States during calendar year 2011, according to the German automaker.
Devon Motor Works may have failed to acquire the Viper franchise from Chrysler, but the up-start Michigan automaker is still moving forward with its GTX supercar plans. Our spy photographers managed to snap the first shots of the forthcoming supercar, indicating the GTX will be ready for its August debut.
After completing a battery of cold weather tests, the next-generation Hyundai Tucson has been spotted sweating it out during hot weather testing in the United States. Production for the Korean market is expected to start in the last quarter of 2009, with sales in the States starting in mid-2010 – likely making the all-new Tucson a 2011 model year offering in North America.
The Kia Sportage received a significant update for the 2009 model year but, as our latest spy shots indicate, an all-new version of the crossover is in the works. Not much is known about the next-gen Sportage, but it looks as if the latest Kia crossover will receive a bit of coupe-like styling.
Sporting its signature light blue paint scheme, as well as prominent “Hybrid Vehicle” stickers, BMW’s upcoming X6 ActiveHybrid prototype made a road trip last weekend to Austin, Texas, where we spotted it hanging out just a block from the state capitol. Appearing production-ready, the X6 ActiveHybrid is only visually set apart by a hood bulge and a small blue efficiency gauge where the fuel economy gauge would be on a standard gas model.
Keeping true to its 2011 XJ build up, Jaguar has released a fourth teaser video of the upcoming flagship sedan. The latest teaser video highlights the XJ’s driving dynamics. Like the previous teaser videos, the latest doesn’t give too much of the car away, but we’re now just days away from the car’s official debut on July 9th.
The next-generation Saab 9-5 is slated to bow at September’s Frankfurt Motor Show but, thanks to some leaked photos, we don’t have to wait until fall to get a glimpse at the all-new Swedish sedan and wagon. The leaked shot reveal a much more stylized Saab than we are used to, with the wagon-variant really showing off some sleek lines.
Bentley has released a second teaser video of its upcoming range-topping model, tentatively titled the Bentley Grand. Like the previously released teaser video and image, the latest teaser gives us little in the way of what to actually expect from the production model. Set to debut this summer, according to the British luxury automaker, the Grand will replace the Arnage in the automaker’s lineup.
Peugeot first showed the 308 RC-Z Concept car at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. It wowed the audiences and many probably wished it would be built soon after. These spy photos show their wishes will come true as the Audi TT-fighter will go into production within a year.
Yesterday our spy photographers brought you the first ever photos of the all-new 2012 Mercedes ML-Class taking its first test run. Now we’ve got a few more, new photos of the German SUV running through Europe.. These photos of the new ML-Class were snagged right before the Mercedes engineers made a hasty retreat!
Mercedes-Benz is working on a new CL, which will be more appropriately named the S-Class Coupe at its debut, and we have a great look at a prototype roaming around the Nurburgring! The CL’s name change falls in line with Mercedes’ new naming scheme, which also included the E-Class Coupe.
Buick’s smallest sedan, the Excelle, has just shown up in Germany and we have the latest photos of it near the Nurburgring. The Excelle will be sold in China but could also surface in the United States. Although little is known about the new model, it will ride on General Motors’ new Delta II platform that underpins the highly anticipated Chevrolet Cruze.
It appears Volkswagen will give its Phaeton flagship one more refresh before the next-generation Phaeton rolls around in a few years time. Our spy photographers captured the first photos of facelifted Phaeton dashing through the mountains in Europe.
The convertible version of Audi’s R8 supercar has been spotted testing in Germany without a hint of camouflage, giving us our best look at the drop-top yet! The Audi R8 Spyder is expected to make its world debut in just a few months at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Once again our spy photographers caught up with an Acura ZDX test group and this time we managed to get a bit closer up. Looking very much like the New York Auto Show concept, Acura’s “four-door sports coupe” will be arriving later this year as a 2010 model.
Porsche first unveiled its Cayenne Hybrid S back in November of 2007 at the Los Angeles Auto Show, but, more than two years later, the greener SUV has yet to hit the road. However, the waiting game is still far from over as the Cayenne Hybrid S is still about a year away from production.
Though it’s not expected to come to North America, Audi is nonetheless attempting to generate some excitement here about its upcoming A5 Sportback five-door “coupe” by releasing a pair of teasers. The A5 Sportback — which was previewed in an officially sketch from Audi — will join the growing segment of four-door coupes.
Earlier this year our spy photographers spotted “test mules” of the next-generation Sienna minivan. While most of the sheet metal was from the current Sienna body, it had been heavily modified around the hood, front fender and the entire rear quarter panel – making room for the new chassis underneath.
