OK… in any city what is the greatest price differential for a gallon of gas, 10 cents maybe? Multiply that by 18 for the average tank size. All that to potentially save $1.80…what an absolute joke.

It isn’t costing Ford anything to implement this feature…its part of the Sirius system that subscribers pay for. This story is just designed to bring out the anti-Ford crowd here. Its more “only Ford” news that bugs alot of people here on this forum. There are people out there that buy vehicles that have unique features like Onstar, and that is the big reason they buy GM vehicles, not that they are the best car out there. Ford is chipping away at “only Ford” options to separate themselves from the pack….whats so wrong with that?

Or……you could just make vehicles that run on something other than gas and the system helps you find it (ex: vehicles running on ethanol and the system tells you where the nearest ethanol station is)

This is a good thing, I don’t know why you guys are such hypocrites about Ford. I see though that once someone (crash1433) brings up a good point, you all change your opinions. I find it funny how all of you are so eager to agree with someone and you contradict every other post.

Like I said, this is a good thing, but I wish they’d stop pissing around the bush and go straight for the problem: fuel economy. Really what I see they need to do, get their SUV lineup in shape, redesign the Taurus as a real competitor (it’s good, but not enough people recognize it as that) and great mileage, smaller than the current one, and you’d already be one step closer to that 35 mpg mandate. Right now, I see GM making the evident changes, Ford is a little slower at them but is making some great products, with the rest being lackluster, and Chrysler… well, I’ll put it lightly and say their in the ****s.

Gimmicks after gimmicks. Ford will do anything to entice buyers except design and build a respectable decent car.

They might as well offer to subsidize the gas of Ford owners. It’s easier to do that then cough up the millions in R&D to get this stupid GPS/Gas Station bull**** off the ground.

I find it amusing when I read the posts on this site about ford. I’m not saying that ford makes nothing but great decisions. We all know thats not true. But they are working to improve the technology in their vehicles and before they even hit the street the people here are dismissing them as failures.

Oh by the way I remember when everyone here laughed at SYNC and look at how many good reviews that is getting now
