Suzuki has announced a new infotainment partnership with Garmin. Following an official introduction later this week at the New York auto show, most of Suzuki's 2013 model year vehicles will be available with the Garmin-sourced system.

The infotainment system will consist of a 6.1-inch touchscreen display equipped with Bluetooth hands-free, Pandora radio and Garmin-supplied navigation. The system will also feature full voice control, intended to help keep the driver's eyes on the road.

"We're pleased to extend our cooperation with Suzuki Motor Corporation by providing our fully integrated infotainment platform that goes beyond GPS navigation and provides a whole range of information and entertainment functions," said Matt Munn, Garmin's managing director automotive OEM. "By leveraging our long-standing experience in developing navigation software, user interfaces and hardware design, we created an integrated system that is easy to use and makes driving more enjoyable."

In addition to common entertainment functions, the system also offers a host of real-time services, including traffic, dynamic parking, weather and fuel prices. A backup camera is also included in the package.
