^I see the land rover clubs offroading in the amazon and definately want to be a part of that. i also want to travel "el camino de murte" the road of death in bolivia, i guess in other words i just want to 4x4 the whole damn planet, and a lr/rr has the capabilities and a worldwide parts supply.
an escalade or h2 are not anything other than pothole offroaders.

^^^^^worst video ever, i like rovers with a passion but that video is truly staged. how do i know, because last week i pulled a freelander from the sand in my 2wd nissan, all i did was let some air from my tires(i always carry a compressor)and it pulled it rite out. look what the caddy did, you cant go up that type of hill and not expect to get stuck, remember when the rover tried something a little less shollow 2 minutes into the video and almost got stuck too. and since they never really talked about the h2 which just looks like it parked. anyways a real test would have put all 3 in the same path, but at the end of the day i personally wouldnt get any of the 3 stuck.
nice rover though, way better than a freelander, the large rovers are world class offroaders for sure. i would prefer an h3,exterra or 4 runner over those large ass beasts.

*Motor Trend- Chose Jaguar S-Type R over Cadillac CTS-V
*According to JD Power Associates, Cadillac scores 891/1000, while Jaguar scores 912/100 points, making it the largest margin of victory in JD Powers Associates survey.
*Test Drive remarks that the Jaguar XJ is one of the best luxury cars out there, being very stable, remarkably fine and distinctive styling.
*Also, the Jaguars interior has been remarked as being more comfortable than the confines of the Cadillac XLR, which is cramped, little headroom and controversial styling.

And you say I'm not backing up my facts? Try again.

Cadillacs front wheel drive models have been compared as being "bulky" and having wider turns than that of the Jaguars (this comes from reviews, not personally).
The likes of Buick and Kia have copied Jaguars styling (can you say, Kia S-Type?), NOT Cadillacs.

Literally, every review I have read gave Jaguar the upper hand when it comes to comfort and interior quality.

Your comments very hypocritical. What proof do you present? The Land Rover Discovery and Land Rover Range Rover have had some "reliability" issues, but ask anybody who takes their SUVS off-road that have tried a Land Rover and Hummer...

*Car and Driver reports H3 doesn't have close to the horsepower it should have, and even with the new V-8 in the "alpha" they comment it's still inadequate.
*The H2 in Top Gear didn't get to the top, while the Land Rover did (actually comical)
*I'm sorry I don't remember what magazine I was reading that made this statement, but a group of Land Rovers were traveling through swampy, wet lands and they brought a Hummer along- the Hummer got stuck and had to be pulled out by the Land Rovers.

1487_GM-Sales, you seem to not make smart comments, I wonder if that reflects you?

Ford managed them extremely well. The majority of people flame Ford for destroying brands, but they've only brought good to all the brands under their wings, with the exception of Mercury and Lincoln.

Regardless of Jaguar in the sales department, it's made HUGE developements in technology, albeit some of them are currently very expensive. The Jaguar XK is a beautiful car, and has recieved alot of praise. The Jaguar XJ has had phenomenal praise for it's handling, performance and quality.

Land Rover simply needs to get their quality issues fixed. It's only the LR3/Discovery and Range Rover that have these problems, all their other models are extremely reliable (heh, of course that leaves the Defender, which is pretty much as simple as an SUV gets).

Volvo and Mazda have done some amazing things in the past few years with Fords help. I don't have to say much other than that.

I can guarentee you, Land Rover can defeat ANY GM model out there. The Hummer H1 is yes, an extreme vehicle, but it's also an extreme heavy weight. Don't even begin to compare the H2 or H3 to any Land Rovers- there's no comparison there.

Jaguars way ahead of Cadillac, people just don't see it. You think Cadillacs got better performance? The Cadillac XLR-V is faster than the Jaguar XK- other than that and the X-type, Cadillacs left in the dust by the XJ and S-type. Not only that, but aside from a few electrical glitches, Jaguars on par, if not better on reliability.

You clearly are an idiot. I picture you to be a 120lb dude with tight jeans, pasty skin, sparse mustache, greasy hair...standing in the middle of a gunfight with your swiss army knife....
What a joke.

Both brands are damaged goods. Ford never managed them properly so its no surprise that nobody wants them. What do you they really offer that is competitive to General Motors? LR is crap next to Hummer and Jaguar is a Cadillac wannabe with half the quality and .0001 the performance and 1 zillionth the reliability.

Ford was just dumb for buying these crap brands in the first place. They deserve to get stuck with them.

Meanwhile General Motors keeps on humming along, stealing Fords market share and making them look stupid in the eyes of the world.

Damnit...

I want Ford to keep Jaguar and Land Rover!

They've gotten rid of Aston Martin, so now they shouldn't be *conservative* about Jaguars growth. Although the Jaguar XK was based on the Aston Martin DB7, I think Ford was concerned if Jaguar went to far into Aston Martins territory then Aston Martin would lose sales. Same is the case for Lincoln and Jaguar, although their entirely different.
