Yes, sik59rt, the USA currently has the same, if not more capabilities than the Russians. But just to let you know, the Atlast 5 and the Falcon’s design are actually Russian. The Russians have the experience to make both economically feasible rockets and effective ones, the reason for using the rockets are both, but the major reason being Russian rockets have more capabilities, capacity and a less costly design than alternatives, but once again, not because of cheap labor but because of the effectiveness of the parts, brought on by experience.

how do they have more experience? i believe we’ve been in the space chase just as long as they have…maybe they have a few years on us, but why else would we send stuff to Russia to put into orbit? because its CHEAP.
The U.S. has plenty of small and large rockets to send objects in low or high earth orbit.
The Delta 4, Atlas 5, Falcon, Pegasus….but see the Pegasus cost more than $25mil to launch and thats a small rocket w/ low payload. A Delta 4 can lift a lot more but cost significantly more than a Pegasus rocket.
Israel, Germany,Saudi Arabia, the US, Canada, Japan, and hell even DirectTV uses Russian technology because it economically fesiable
Thank god for companies like ILS that are thankfully American and can keep the space launch industry in American hands.

But anyways, I still think the Sebring is a good looking car, but it seems they didn’t get the design right with the new generation. I wish they had kept with the long, low looking design language, like the Sebring, which actually has a design language of it’s own.

I’m saying we’re buying rockets from them NOT because they can build it cheaper, but they have more experience, they have the materials and capabilities to do so, and yes, I’m sure they are cheaper, but we’re not buying it from them because they can build “cheap shit”.

It’s too bad that stuff is being sent overseas to be built, but these rockets have nothing to do with “cheap labor”

Unless you and Autonut are the same people, it wasn’t even directed to you sik59rt. That’s ok with me, keep arguing, but my statement wasn’t made to be offensive.

When Autonut mentioned “the people get government they deserve”, the first thing that popped in my head was “Patriot Act!” and this new Executive Order that says we don’t have the right to protest against the Iraq war. It has not to do with the car, but the industry itself and Autonuts statement.

wtf did sik59rt say to deserve this backlash, guess what asspackers the wonderful russian tech was probably stolen from the u.s. during the cold war anyways so wtf does that have to do with this crappy car? jeeeeeez. at this point everything was done in absolute secrecy while they were spying on each other so who really know who`s tech is who`s.

Well Autonut, if you live in the United States, seriously, your pretty stupid if your citing Russia but not our own country. There’s some pretty rancid things going on in the States too, like we no longer have the right to protest against the war, and gun controls still trying to be pushed through congress. I guess that makes you pretty stupid too!

The Russian automarket is screwed. Even to this day, I love the Sebring design, it’s too bad the most recent one is pretty terrible. I haven’t personally sat in a Russian car, but I’ve seen a few recent ones in person, and this will blow them away.

The Russian auto industry is no longer “state owned”. It is owned by former KGB officers who own the current state. And because Russian allowed for 75 years commies to rule them and after commies selected KGB colonel to lead them back to communism, they do deserve their auto industry to be owned by state. The people get government they deserve and YES Russian people are stupid because government owns some or all of their industries (or former KGB mafia that owns the government). They may be creative and can build a rocket, but as a society they are extremely stupid and drunk.

not too bad looking… you can totally tell it’s a sebring/stratus from simply looking at the doors though. outdated, but probably better than what the average russian is used to.

and i’d take it over the current sebring’s styling as well.

for your info since 1999 American space vehicles are launched powered by RUSSIAN rocket engines. Russians were first to send a satellite into space (Sputnik), first to send a human into Earth orbit (A. Gagarin). Russian tanks T-90S are very good too. And, yes, their Auto industry is long way behind, but that’s because it was state owned and never got enough funding for development, not because Russians are stupid
