Tzu13, autonut, impulsive- I can understand we all see something in the headlights/ front design, but other than that most of you haven’t commented on the “rest” of the vehicle. I’m just saying, when somethings obvious, jump on the slam wagon at your pleasure, but this is atleast some what original and I give them credit. What I can’t give them credit for is basically anything else of major concern, including their production vehicles.

Sorry jayjc, but I do see a bit of Civic in the fascia. Car looks OK, but being Chinese does not appeal to me. It’s like looking at a gorgeous woman with herpes or HIV: does nothing for imagination.

It’s about time for some of you to quit comparing every new vehicle to something that came before it. I’m getting so tired and sick of everyone, on every article compare new models with anything that rings to their mind. This is pretty original if you ask me, although it’s shapeless and bland.

Looks really good. If the company manages to build a reputation for fair reliability, then everyone will be up **** creek when Geely hits the US. Their design team is pretty formidable.

‘CaCaLover’, I don’t think this is beautiful like the other concept but according to the others here, you are outnumbered in what is deemed attractive … you have ZERO taste in cars and probably in women … you like ‘em ugly like Tori Spelling.

Don’t hate the Chinese because they can now design some cars better than your favourite subpar designs.

Until you can get close enough to a production model in order to garner some sense of build quality, you have to admit by outward appearances only the design is, well, not horribly out of place for its intended mission. It’s certainly not original, although I’m sure in China there are plenty of people who can spot a Geely much like we can pick out a Chevy, Ford or Dodge over here.

I see a lot of cars there, so nothing original as far as design goes!
I can’t wait to see how this does in EuroNCAP! Chevy Aveo got 1.5* and Nissan Navara got 1*. So if GM and Nissan can produce crappy safety vehicles, the Chinese can do it better!!! (Less stars that is )

The only other car in the segment that can be looking sportier than this is the Fit; so equip this thing with an engine more powerful than the Fit’s (110 hp), throw in some options, and take it to town. I like it.

They should use the name “Verve” and use it to crush Ford’s Fiesta in the marketplace. No one wants to drive a Fiesta because of all the negative connotations from the past models. Obviously some company man is running marketing over there or some young guy who has no clue.
