Germany’s GeigerCars has created a customized version of the Ford Mustang it calls the GT 520. Displacement was increased from 4.6 to 5.2 liters, and the engine was extensively reworked. Precision-machining of both cylinder heads, installing sport camshafts and reinforcing the valvetrain are part of the GeigerCars power treatment as is a belt-driven supercharger with generously dimensioned intercooler. A fully stainless-steel high-performance sport exhaust system with high-performance manifold and metal catalysts round out the engine conversion. The sprint from 0 – 62 mph takes just 4.2 seconds. The interior of the show car is hardly recognizable as belonging to a Ford Mustang: The exclusive fully leather black interior features highly contoured sport seats for improved lateral support, and, most of all, a multimedia sound system from JBL that was custom-tailored acoustically and visually to the interior of the Ford Mustang coupe. As expected, brakes are upgraded for increased stopping power and custom wheels are fitted for a custom look. Gallery after the jump…

Im not digging two things. Color and the spoiler. Diffuser in between the exhaust tips would like nice in black also. Im not a huge fan of body kits, but there’s just something about this one that doesn’t bother me much. Chrome wheels could also go…blah tacky…other than that, well done. God im picky!

The Mustang is as big a piece of **** American car as Audi is as big a piece of **** German car – which is to say: it’s not. There is nothing wrong with the Mustang, it may be rude and crude but it’s reliable, fun to drive and affordable.

Faust you’re a retard. The Mustang is a very decent car. It’s cheap and it’s fun. Sure Ford has been relying on them too much, but they still have their charm.
And this tuner has done a great job making a good car even better! I agree with the black difusser comment.

So much negativity toward this car, yet the people making those stupid comments have never driven one or owned one. They just say what they’ve heard, and usually it’s exaggerated. I used to work for a Ford service dealership once. Most unreliable were explorers/mountaineers/F150s. Most reliable were Lincoln LS’/Continental/MUSTANGS. Some people are just to ignorant to notice **** like that. Or maybe they’ve lost a race or two against them in the past that gave them a bad taste in the tongue.

sure it isn’t bad looking and has Ok performance.. but this after market upgrade cost has gotta bring it up to what 65k or so right ? Just buy a corvete Z06 for that price and it’ll blow the doors off of this pile of crap like it was parked.. Ford still hasn’t learned about cubic inches and torque and engine reliability.. also their suspension systems are still in the sixty’s..

Ok, sorry for flying off the handle. But enough is enough already.
Americans are dying for the freedom of people all over this planet and have done so for generations. Hate the cars all you want. Respect the Nation and the people it comes from. Please.
And Faust, if you really are German, you should know better than anyone.

The Mustang’s great and all, but tuned Mustangs are getting old. As are tuned Audis and Porsches.
I would even get sick of Mugen, Spoon, Amemiya, et al if they were posted as often as tuned Mustang.

Andre Neves.. i feel sorry for you that you worked on Fords and yes I have first hand esperience with a 1998 mustang GT, it was the biggest pile of crap i ever owned I sold it at 27,000 miles because the clutch went out and the transmission and the CD sound system adn the brakes all in less than 24,000 miles. if that isn’t the definition of a piece of **** i don’t know what is.. i went back to a corvette and in 67,000 miles it still has the original clutch, brakes sound system and transmission totally untouched and to answer your other question it would BLOW that doors off of the Mustang GT like it was parked so, the loosing a race to it is rediculous as its in the shop more than its on the road.

It would seem I’m in the minority as I dont like it at all. The orange looks horrible and like it would glow in the dark, the rims are some of the worst I’ve seen, and the sound system looks like it belongs on a SEMA car…not a 4.2 sec track monster. It COULD look very nice with some subtle changes (color, rim choice, tone down the interior) but they went too far.

For what this thing costs I’d rather have a Z06, Cayman S or an Exige. Any of the above would whip its arse on a decent road circuit.
Beyond that it’s tacky as hell too. I’m guessing this is a product for european folks with mullets?

Lets stick to the cars people. The off hand cracks on peoples faith and citizenship are not just in poor taste, but also uneducated and distracting from the real reason why people visit this site.

Andre Neves,
that rear wing is Cobra R wing (racing Mustang Cobra) and regarding diffuser is done in body color, so you can see it’s shape (black wont be as visible). And whole car is done in this color, because it’s a SHOW car, it MUST stand out from the crowd. (Look @ AC Schnitzer Tension or AC Schnitzer Topster).

GL1,
I don’t know how did you drive, but a friend of mine has ‘89 (25th aniversary) LX 5.0 Sport. He dives the **** of it, locks up tranny and it wont break. Yes, he’s got upgraded clutch (King Cobra), but for brakings most self-respected car enthusiasts know that when you want to brake, you use engine braking (downshifting), unless, you have ladies (Automatic) transmission, in that case you shouldn’t own a performance vehicle in a first place.
Every one could make 500 hp from 7-litre engine (z06) or 8.3-litre (Viper), try to get that amount from 5-litre (///M5, ///M6). (BTW, I know that ///M-engine has less torque.)
And not everyone is single, some people have kids, and ‘vette provides only two seats.
And I know a few people, who switched from ‘vetts to Mach 1.

It is still a tuner car, so whatever it costs, there is some factory offering that will blow it away somewhere. You could probably at least get a new Z06 Corvette for what this Mustang cost to build.
The Mustang is a great car for US$25 – 28K, after that…..

Wow! That looks fast! A little “ricey” but fast. To all the haters it’s really easy to pick on the Mustang since it is such a common car. I use to hate them as well but then for kicks I test drove the 05 Mustang GT and ended up buying one. It was just plain fun to drive. Also it’s so easy to get after market parts. You can literally find anything you’d ever want for it.
