This maybe a start for reviving stagnant full size Suvs because the diesel engine is a perfect match for its heavy body.

As the engine runs fine without the addition of urea to clean NOX from the exhaust the issue is getting people to do it. If the size of the urea tank is proportional to oil change interval it can be refilled transparently during a standard service session.

Unfortunately that may not be enough to appease lawmakers and the cars will no doubt come with a stunning array of idiot lights to remind the consumer.

As much as I like Diesels, the idea of refilling something besides the fuel tank, even if it's just every 5,000 miles, is a real turn off TBH. And I assume people will have to pay for the refill as well? :-(
