I have an 06 and have looked briefly at the 07s. I am not sure I would like the new exterior and there is a lot less storage in the dash area of the 07s, like all the little compartments. The only reason I would change, would be for better fuel mileage. Now I am getting 19.5 around town and 21.5 on the highway; however I am very delicate with the gas pedal as quick getaway starts and super fast freeway speeds. I would like to see a diesel engine in the line up.

The ridgeline is not a truck, its a van with a box based on the Avalanche that gmc should never touch to avoid ruining the truck that finaly got away from too much clading. Tail gate should say chevrolet not the bowtie and the yes the nose should be a little tougher but will still get one.

This is the one I have been waiting for, should be out later this year? Only thing that could make it better is if they made it as a GMC also! Will they?

Have a 2002 Z66. Canadian Hockey family. We have over 207000 kms and are trading. I love my truck but the 2007 have lost that "nasty" look that I liked when we got the first one. I don't like the colored bumpers and the moldings are not available. boooooo. Drove and Infiniti FX (NO!) Cadillac SRX (NO!) Want my avalanche but the husband wants to trade so we are settling for the 2007 LTZ loaded. I like everything but the change in the exterior look. If it isn't broke, don't fix it please

Everyone has opinion... If my friends at the dealership are right, this thing will get better gas mileage, and have a lot more power than the 6-cylinder only Ridgeline. Oh yea, and a mid-gate.

What to do What to do. I have been dealing with Honda on the Ridgeline, but love the looks of this one. At least I know the side compartments work as a great tailgating cooler!! What to do???

I have been waiting to see the 07 I was going to trade in my 02 but I just changed my mind. I feel as though a chevy should look like a chevy not a honda. I think they improved on the interior but lost on the exterior. I wonder what the 07 looks like with Cladding.

I have been all excited to finally see/buy the newest Avalanche. Now that I have seen it, I think I will just trade in my 2002 for a nice used one or get a 2006 before the dealers run out. The 2007 looks like someone fed a Honda Ridgeline some steroids. The laugh was bad enough when Bowtie fans saw Honda attempting to create a mini Avalanche. Now, I am truely shocked at what I see!! Maybe some edgey cladding will dress it up some, make it look like a chevy truck again?!

I have had an 03 and an 04 and i think the 07 looks the best yet. I have just ordered an LTZ but can't find any pics of the colors. I chose Silver Birch. Has anyone seen it is these colors?

I just saw this live at the Chicago auto show. It looks GREAT in person! I have an '03 without the cladding and love it. The lines of the new version are even better. The Avelanche at the show was the same color as the oone pictured above. Not sure what they call this version of orange, but it looks great. It is a lot closer to the Sunset Orange of my '03, rather than what they changed to in '04 which was Sunburst Orange (way less red in it).

The only thing I would be leary of is the new engine, used also in the tahoe/suburban/etc. which deactivates to run on only 4 of the 8 cylinders while at cruising speed. Time will tell if there are any problems with that.

I have a 04 with the body cladding, One advantage of the body cladding is that you get NO door dent's from parking lot jerks driving lesser cars... This design will get door dent's...

Will probably keep the 04 Avalanche, but trade in my 04 Trailblazer for a 08 Avalanche(Never, never buy the first year).

Then I'll have two

Boring lines on this one. The original, more aggressive looking Avalanche is much better. Why is GM copying it's copycat (ie Ridgline). Guess I will be keeping my 02 Avalanche.
