I don't know where they get their numbers... the current 3.6 vvt has 255 hp not 240, thus 290 hp after 15% increase. Oh yeah, and 15% increase on 240 is 276 not 267... IDIOTS!!! Bring it on rice crap the caddy's are bringing back the tech advantage of old.

What I would really like to see are the revised torque figures for this engine...

Don't forget guys, GM usually understates power ratings, while Toyota usually overstates. Also don't forget that the new VQ series (Nissan) will have a higher displacement (3.8L) which means its not an apples to apples comparison.

I'd like to see what some tuners could do with this engine, seeing how easy it is to control AF ratios with DI. Add some tubular headers and a cold air intake, change the fuel mapping... bet you could get it to 290 hp as an NA engine.

While GM announces the power of this new V-6 engine, the Lexus V-6 has 300hp while Infiniti will be announcing the HP figures of its new VQ engine estimated to be over 300hp. GM has to leapfrog the competition not still playing catch up. It would be nice to have this engine in the new Camaro as its base model.

Hmm...interesting. I wonder if current V-6 engines (like Chevy's 4.3L V-6) can be easily converted to run on E85 too...
