There is nothing wrong with temps right now because those jobs will not be there for long. I started as a temp on and off for 2years. Now i work in a tranmission plant and on my line we run 180 transmissions a hour. and my job is to put a 49lb torque converter in each. I would say i earn my pay! Apparently it had been going on for years and when I questioned why the women would let it go on so long they said the people there were making as much as $30 an hour (this was like 8 or 9 years ago) and they were afraid of losing their jobs in a part of the country where people were actually making minimum wage. You could rent an apartment out there then for like $350 a month so I imagine making that much hourly meant you could live like a king. Shame what money will do to some people.
