GM always has a pretty display(s) of vehicles at this show. GM is one of the better ones at letting those who want to climb around their vehicles do so, even in the higher-end Corvettes.

The auto industry has a better record of paying back government loans (and the taxpayers profiting) than any other industry.

And Bush wouldn’t loan them the $10B they wanted to acquire Chrysler because none of his cronies work in the auto industry. They’re all with Big Oil and Wall Street.

You would thank that the Dock! will be more open to what he say’s and not be so “one-side-ed” , I mean, if he dose own the site, that means he is living off of the auto industry, and expressing his personal opinion the way that he dose could ultimately cost him some business, that’s why it is the policy of the company that I work for, that dose not let me give out there information when ever I’m on forum like this one giving out my personal opinion. Maybe the staff at LLN should adopt that policy…
Hay if it works for the biggest name in auto racing why not….

The unions gave a lot of support to President ” to be” Obama, no more American Auto Industry, no more jobs (”cash”) for the Unions, So now the union and now the auto makers (”GM”) what Grants, forget loans for making “green cars” they now whant Grants ” free money” money you don’t pay pack,

“Ohooo, No”….. “We’re going BK”….. “we can’t afford a loan, just give us the money”

And the Oscar goes to….. “GM” !!!! For most dramatic performance…

Oh, W doesn’t want to give the loan becasue he thinks they are not going to pay it back! He’s an actual bussinessman who understands the definition of loans, otherwise he wants to have the US as part owners, like with the failing banks, to have some sort of control and assets for the investment. Obama wants to give them a handout.

It’s hyperbolic for LLN to write “there is the very real possibility that GM might not survive until” January. That’s mathematically inaccurate. This is the kind of wild-eyed, off-target press that hastens the death of teetering companies. If people thought GM was six weeks away from death, nobody would buy any vehicles at all, and the possibility would become reality.

GM is obviously in incredibly serious trouble, more serious than is perhaps realized by the bulk of its insular, self-satisfied managers (although Wagoner and cohorts get it). But not six-weeks-from-death serious. LLN, get a grip.
