You talk about his pay and perks ("believe me they are substantial") as if you work in the accounting department at GM and see it firsthand. There is no doubt that he gets compensated 'substantially' compared to you or me but that is no reason to call for a man's death, joking or not. Even though I'm not 100% sure what a "dying relic of a self-supposed icon" is, it seems to me that he is currently pulling his weight.
