Mr. Fusion only powered the flux capacitor (1.21 gigawatts!!). The DeLorean still needed the fabulous Renault PRV V6 to make it to 88 MPH (roughly max speed for the DMC-12).

Now a Mr. Fusion juicing the Volt, there's an idea...

How is this going to be "THE CAR THAT SAVES GM" if it costs $40,000? It needs to be priced to compete with the Prius at the $20,000 to $25,000 price range.

Lutz better knock on some wood, and quick. His quote, “They [batteries] are all performing flawlessly. It’s almost scary we are not seeing any problems with the batteries.” will bring some major problems. Nice going, Putz.

wHITE rL,

You have NO IDEA what you're talking about. The battery pack in the EV1 is 3x the size of the one in the Volt (so no room for a range-extender engine). Its batteries are NiMH, which means nickel mining is involved in the process, which is a filthy, carcinogenic process, to boot.

Are you kidding me? Why don't they just use the battery technology that they put in their
EV 1's back in the 90's?! They worked great, didn't make a sound, and charged in about 20 minutes. But no, they can't because they don't want anything to do with them anymore. It was big oil, the government, and GM it self destroyed the batteries and EV 1's.

GM, your really starting to make me pissed off!
