However I could see a whole new class of hybrid tuners out there getting the max power out of it instead of max mpg. Revise the programming to get more/faster power out of the battery quickly and this thing would kick. Heck we could see the powertrain put into 32 Chevies and 55 Bel Airs for guilt free cruising. Funny, Lutz says they can tweak the car for more power and EVERYONE goes off and thinks this is going to be some kind of electric Camaro competitor and needs to have some kind of sports car chassis under it.

However I could see a whole new class of hybrid tuners out there getting the max power out of it instead of max mpg. Revise the programming to get more/faster power out of the battery quickly and this thing would kick. Heck we could see the powertrain put into 32 Chevies and 55 Bel Airs for guilt free cruising.

But you might need to build a totally new machine to achieve a real high-performance package. The VOLT and CONVERJ are being built on rather mundane platforms. You gotta be real doing this. Just like the CORVETTE is built on a platform that it fundamentally differnt from almost everything else GM makes, a GEV Sportcars needs to be totally it's own animal and not the parts strapped to a Gas car's platform.
