General Motors has released a second teaser shot of the upcoming Opel Insignia. The all-new Insignia — which was formerly know as the Opel/Vauxhall Vectra — is set to bow at the London Motor Show in July. The new Insignia will take many of its styling cues from the Opel GTC Concept that debuted at the Geneva Motor Show last March.
The Insignia is scheduled for production at GM’s Rüsselsheim, Germany plant, alongside other models underpinned by the Epsilon 2 platform. The Insignia will be offered as a sedan, wagon and five-door hatchback.

The Saturn Aura is scheduled to switch to the Epsilon 2 platform — in 2011 — so look for a re-badged version of the Insignia on our shores early next decade.

When the all-new Aura does start production, it will be offered with both four and six-cylinder engines, and possibly even the hybrid system used in the Chevrolet Malibu .
