Later today General Motors is expected to announce more details concerning another batch of fresh jobs for a U.S. plant, believed to be the result of the recently ratified labor deal with the United Auto Workers union.

The announcement is expected to be for 360 new jobs to be located at the Warren Powertrain Plant, located in Michigan. The jobs, according to the Detroit Free Press, are part of a larger plan to add some 6,400 new factory jobs in the U.S.

GM is also expected to confirm the injection of $325 million to update the Warren Powertrain Plant, which will partially be aimed at preparing for the increased workforce.

The Warren Powertrain Plant investment and jobs come after GM changed its mind from its original plan to produce the new transmission in Mexico.

The plant currently employs 590 workers, both salaried and hourly.
