Earlier this week General Motors officially announced that coupe and wagon versions of the popular Cadillac CTS would be headed to production in 2009, and we now have confirmation on where the two new models will be built.
According to the Lansing State Journal, the CTS coupe and wagon will be produced alongside the CTS sedan, STS and SRX at GM’s Lansing Grand River production plant.

GM currently sells the CTS sedan in Europe, and the two new models will also likely be sold across the pond. The Euro-spec CTS sedan is slated to get a diesel 2.9L engine, so it’s quite possible that GM will equip other CTS models destine for the European market with the same powerplant.

It remains unclear if SRX production will remain at the Lansing plant as the next-generation crossover will ride on an all-new platform, rather than sharing its underpinnings with the STS sedan.
