Apples for apples, GM vehicles are every bit as fuel efficient as any other vehicle out there. Let me repeat that: Apples for apples, GM vehicles are every bit as fuel efficient as ANY other vehicle out there. Don't believe it? You're not alone. But here are some numbers:

Tahoe/Yukon 4WD compared to Totoya Sequoia: Yukon is better by 1 mpg (combined)
Silverado/Sierra 4WD compared to Tundra: GMC better by 2 MPG (combined)

Pontiac G6 to Camry 4 cyl auto: SAME (25 combined)

I could go on, but you get my point (well, I know at least one of you won't get it), and I have to get back to work. The thing is, people give GM a bad rap for fuel economy comparing the Hummer to the Prius, which isn't fair. Sure, Honda gets good economy (the Accord beats the G6 by 1 MPG, I believe), but so does GM, and it isn't the wide economy gap that it is portrayed.

Compare for yourselves at www.fueleconomy.gov.

That is all!

Stig. I'm with you.

All GM is going to do is use the show to plug their oversized gas guzzling trucks and monster SUVs. How is that green?

Now maybe if Honda had sponsored it...

Wow, GM marketing getting its head out of its ass? Amazing!

Some interesting ironic symbolism between the rebuilding of a destroyed town and the rebuilding of a Chevy dealership.
