The Governator – Arnold Schwarzenegger – made a surprise appearance earlier today at the Geneva Motor Show. Surrounded by journalists seeking a photo, the California governor stopped in on his way home from the CeBIT 2009 technology trade fair in Hannover, Germany.
Though his reason for visiting the Geneva Motor Show is unclear – perhaps to promote California’s stringent emissions standards – he did take some time to sit down in some high-end new cars, including Bentley and Aston Martin .

Schwarzenegger was in Hannover to promote California, CeBIT’s first state partner. On Monday, he met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who commended the governor’s environmental and energy policy efforts.

It was unclear whether Schwarzenegger stopped by the small Hummer stand.
