Gas stations are a dime a dozen these days, but these gas station owners went to extremes to make sure their stations were one of a kind. Considering it is Saint Patrick’s Day, we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate “green day” than by showing off buildings that dispose EPA-certified dangerous emission-creating fuels.
This fairly random collection of odd gas station pictures ranges from functional to flamboyant in design, but they are all intended to appeal to your curiosity and earn your business. Given the mundane nature of most gas stations, we welcome to the creativity.
The first station -undoubtedly the most magnificent of the bunch – is a station that resulted from a section of roofing that was initially intended for LAX Airport, but was never used. Now this BP station has turned into a tourist attraction and mega money maker.
The rest aren’t nearly as sophisticated or expensive in nature, but certainly unique given their small town style and no doubt small town budgets. We just can’t help but wonder if covering an entire gas station in crochet is the smart est marketing move…
