High Roller: Jay Leno takes drop-top Rolls-Royce for a spin

02/10/2006, 12:32 AM

By admin

TV comedian and car aficionado Jay Leno took Jeremy Hart of TopGear for an exclusive drive in the one-off V16 Rolls-Royce 100EX. The concept car is the basis for the forthcoming Phantom convertible, which was confirmed during a press conference at the Detroit auto show in January. Apparently, no one outside BMW — the parent company of Rolls — has driven the 100EX, until now. Even rapper 50 Cent is anxious for a production version of the car. Apparently he is still seriously thinking of lopping the top off his Phantom — as some customizers have already done — in order to get a drop-top Rolls ahead of the curve.

i love the new rolls styling .

i just cant understand why bmw still insists on using
rag tops on cars that are over $70K. (6 series )

especially in the case of the rolls – what $300k?

what do i have to do to get a retractable hard top?

dont wanna cannibalize sales of other models?
then rethink the strategy because rag tops should
cease to exist asap.

its the one thing that stopped me from buying convertibles my whole life –
the top up!
