I wonder when it will be exported?
the car is already built to US rules (once in LHD)

poor ford/fpv. they couldn’t keep up with a standard SS, how the hell are they supposed to survive this.
Maybe they’re hoping that it doesn’t feature in a comparo, VE SS vs BFII F6 / BFII GT.
then, HSV GTS vs BMW M5 vs AUDI S6 vs E63 AMG.
HSV have gone after the Germans!
Holden can hold it’s own here.

Very Nice – Holden are doing well – and yes, aussies do appreciate power, but they also appreciate handling to some extent… e.g. Ford Falcon XR’s and GTs have silly HP but also have independent rear suspension in the form of Crossblade (cheap multilink) a la the Focus, even if it is RWD…

Not too bad this Holden….though in the front kind of reminds me of MG Rovers grill the used on their MG – TF or whatrever the 4 door 75 became in the MG line up. I wouldn’t mind seeing this here in the US as some sort of Pontiac G8 or whatever.

HSV have actually managed to come up with some decent styling for once rather than what appeared to be a cheap piece of plastic commonly attached to some rice burner.

Fuel is current running at about AUD$1.46 (US$1.11) a litre for premium unleaded (95+ octane at mobil). So then times that by about 3.8 and you’ll find a gallon of fuel runs at about AUD$5.50 or US$4.20)

petrol goes for about 20-30c a gallon more than in the states. Not great, but no where near as bad a europe.

These things drive great, but previous HSV’s had immature styling. this one is aggressive without being over the top. I like it….

Not bad…a bit sedan…a bit “boy-racer”. Cool that the Aussies appreciate power like the Americans do. Just curious…anyone know what gas costs there?

Ps. WOO HOO! Finally a GM post that doesn’t mention the new Camaro! Two years off and I am already sick of looking at it and hearing about it.
