Far too expensive for what you get. Considering the Si has an MSRP of $21,110, I’d say this Mugen RR should go $24-25k MAX. Should kinda be cheaper though because Hondas are a bit overpriced anyway. Oh well.

Way to make a bad car even more of a joke!

Talking about an aerodynamics kit when there’s a stupid ricer wing sitting on the back of a FWD car?? LOL!

It needs some extra power if it’s supposed to live up to the way numbskull Civic racers talk it up, too. Perhaps their performance compact should at least be able to outperform my mid-sized sedan?
Anything more than $20k for a Civic is a huge laugh.

jamaicandude, I’m into efficiency so if those copied (mind you exact molds from the original) kits look and perform exactly the same as the originals then nothing wrong with that. It’s really the performance gain that I’m interested in since the design of Mugen kits look too ricey compared to Modulo. But what’s the point of “tuning” an ugly “sport” car like the Civic anyway…

When it comes to watches, yes you would want to get the real thing cause I happen to collect high end watches and I can tell a fake from the real thing right away. Of course a Rolex is like a Civic, the overpriced watch for the ignorant masses. Same deal with wheels, I’d always get originals cause it’s safety related. But yea, buy what you want.

As I was saying: Who’d be able to tell the difference? I would. I don’t care about people on the street. I buy cars I like & do what I want to do to them, & I’d much rather keep it stock and throw on a nice set of wheels than rock some fake-name brand body kit. The difference is in the details. I had a full genuine Mugen kit on my CL7 Euro R and it looked and fit way better than any fake I’ve seen.

How “smart” it is irrelevant. Do you always buy the cheap knock offs? Well, I don’t do fake. Rather than buy a fake Rolex because the genuine one’s too expensive, I’d just buy a Casio or Timex… they both tell time just fine. I’m not into posing. There’s nothing wrong with a stock car. Pinch your pennies and buy fake stuff if you want. It’s genuine or nothing for me.

I’ve seen lots of fake BMW M and Audi RS kits, but I’m sure the real BMW and Audi enthusiasts would tell you the same thing… it’s not the same as the original. Real enthusiasts don’t put crap on their cars. Go buy a fake set of BBS or OZ wheels and I’m sure you’d change your tune when they bend or crack after a couple miles on a rough road, or one off-road excursion on a track day. Sure they might look like the original, and “people on the street” couldn’t tell the difference, but trust me… you’d know it.

I don’t give a rat’s ass what people on the street think. I’d be able to tell the difference. I buy cars I like & do what I want to do to them, & I wouldn’t put a fake Mugen kit on my car. I had a full Genuine Mugen kit on my CL7 Euro R and it looked and fit way better than the knockoffs I’ve seen. The difference is in the little details, like the fit and finish of the product. Rock fake goods if you like, but I’d rather not have a Mugen kit than have a fake one. Theres nothing wrong with a stock car. That’s like wearing a fake Rolex… fine if you’re a poser, or if you need to compensate for the lack of something… For telling time, a Casio or Timex does the job just fine, and that’s where my money would go if I couldn’t afford one. I don’t do fake.
