Honda , which recently confirmed the long-rumored the demise of its S2000 sports car, says it will give European buyers one last chance to buy a new S2000 with the limited-run Ultimate Edition. Mechanically identical to standard S2000s, the Ultimate Edition features a unique Grand Prix White paint scheme, a red leather interior and numbered dash plaques.
Honda says that the color recalls the shade used on the automaker’s first Formula 1 car in 1964. Dark metal-painted alloy wheels and black further set it apart from standard S2000s.
The S2000 Ultimate Edition will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in early March – so check back here for Leftlane’s live coverage of the event. At this point, Honda hasn’t announced an S2000 tribute package for other markets.
