I don’t understand why Honda is still selling this lunchbox…I like honda, since I drive one…The element never really caught my eye…It’s ugly

Will this Element pass Formula D tech? I mean, it looks like it probably would, but I wonder about the rear suspension setup.

my initial response is that I love it. I want a box that has room for all my stuff but is actually fun to drive.
currently if you want something big enough for your life and perhaps 2 kids with a relatively high roof, for not much and with a stick… you can buy a mazda 5. scions are too tiny, traditional minivans are huge, SUVs are unnecessarily heavy… I’m genuinely interested in a RWD element. That would sell.

Is there anything else like this right now? by which I mean car-based independent suspension high roof, low floor vehicles with rwd or manual or any sort of power? I’d settle for the NA v6 or the accord’s v6!

Lots of drift cars are butt ugly and have audacious paint jobs and rims that are pink.

This is just completely laughable to me because other than the S2000 roadster, there is absolutely nothing like this vehicle anywhere in Honda’s current lineup.

I think it’s very funny.

I actually kinda like the Element as a SUV. I prefer sports cars, of course, but if you require the utility then the Element seems fine. Doing this to it seems like a strange idea tho. Element should be pursuing the Eddie Bauer set, not the Fast And The Furious.

Maybe if they did a chop-top version…

An Element as a drifter is absurd but this is all about marketing. Honda’s gotta keep up the youthful image and the colors are perfect for a Holloween debut.

Hondalarious indeed! Honda will NEVER produce light rear-drive cars with turbo engines or large displacement engines for the public market. Why are they bothering with this? First of all, it’s a top-heavy behemoth to cram a 500HP V6 into. Second, it’s a top-heavy behemoth.

Try showing us some rear-drive coupe and sedan concepts, Honda. Oh and remember, since your company philosophy is high revving but with no torque even AT those high revs… make sure the car designs are lightweight… or give the cars turbochargers.

Until then, there is nothing of long term interest here. I’ve seen a lot of concepts go by over the years. One overblown Element just shows the company either doesn’t get the driver’s car market or that they just want to sell more Elements.

See honda makes nice vehicals…if people stop doing stupid stuff to them. I never really liked the element in the first place. Finnaly what I dont get here is why they would make that of all cars into a drift car.
