Honda set to bring second-generation Fit to U.S.

Honda has announced plans to launch an all-new 2006 Fit this spring in North America. “Small on the outside, big on the inside, the Fit will transform the way you live. That’s because the Fit has the same Honda quality, know-how and dependability built right in,” a posting on Honda’s website reads. “There’s not a whole lot of information we can reveal right now, but rest assured there will be a few surprises for those expecting the steering wheel to simply move to the left.” Honda further states U.S. auto enthusiasts should “look for the U.S. Fit to satisfy your needs for fun-to-drive excitement.” Honda asks interested individuals to sign up for its Fit newsletter for the latest updates.

i think this is a case of “all new to you” rather than second generation “all new”. although they make the claim that more things change than the steering wheel location, i don’t forsee HUGE changes for the US. it’s a good car and a great rental whenever i’ve needed one…love that rear folding seat design!
